We booked this hotel for a long weekend as we had tickets for Madison Square Gardens basketball. I have to say it is in a great location with the Empire State building close by and just a short walk up to Times Square with all the restaurants and attractions there. The staff on reception were really friendly and the concierge...

The area this hotel is in is wonderful. It's close to the action of Broadway and Times Square (if that's your thing), but far enough away where it feels less chaotic and is certainly not as bright. There are a lot of places to eat in the area and it's right by Herald Square and the original Macy's. There's tons...

This location was perfect for any event at Madison Square Garden - which was why we were there. Parking garage was close and easy - albeit we were not aware of the upcharge for an SUV turning a $47 nightly fee into $60. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Subway station literally a stone's throw away as was Herald Square, Macy's...

It was good for us as being first time visitors to New York. It was walking distance to Times Square and lots of restaurants. It was very small but we didnt spend much time there. The free breakfast was awesome though.

Stayed here for a second time, mainly due to price and the chance to earn more HHonors points. The hotel is tight in a great location. We were up on the 19th floor which was a bit of a pain given the elevator situation. Overall, I do recommend it for the price and location.

Excellent location in New York, only a few blocks from Penn Station and right next to the Herald Square subway stop. The hotel staff was very friendly and allowed us to store our luggage they day we arrived and the day we left. Hotel was clean and very updated. The breakfast was plentiful, 9:00 was very crowded, but by 9:30...

Get to breakfast early to avoid the stampede. Also pick your moment for the lift as wait times can be lengthy. If possible specify floor 2 so you can take the stairs. Great location for walking to most sights, also subway 50 yards away which is a bonus. Handy limo service booked by hotel for jfk transfer, reasonable cost.

Perfect Manhattan stay if you're looking for a reasonably priced, Hampton Inn stay. Location is excellent. Steps from the 34th St/Herald Square subway station. Can be hectic at the breakfast station as several larger tour groups were based from this hotel during our stay. Our floor was quiet, but didn't have those groups on it. Heard that it was noisy...

The attention of the staff, the complimentary breakfast and the rooms are absolutely great. Definitely it was an amazing experience. We had a breathtaking view to the Empire State Building that absolutely add value to our stay.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
