Nick is the General Manager at Ink 48. I am so incredibly thankful for meeting him. I shared that it was my birthday and he modified my stay an extra day for the most affordable rate I’ve seen. The King studio with a city view room exceeded my expectations. I honestly did not want to leave. The customer service and hospitality of Nick exceptional. It made my stay there worthwhile. Nick and I conversed about life and what is important to us. It was refreshing that we shared a lot of the same values as one another. Nick is compassionate and kind. Ink 48 has been my best hotel experience let alone customer service experience. Also, Nick made my birthday even more special by allowing my significant other and I to get a view of the city during sunset hours. I booked this hotel to have a romantic getaway experience on the West Side of Manhattan. I knew that due to COVID-19 many things could be limited, but I don't feel that affeHere's the gist: Glows (The Good) + Good location with access to the west-side of manhattan and midtown + Modern furnishings and a quiet stay + Great customer service with the restaurant staff + City Views: I booked a city view room which was great at night but in the day time you could see a building under much construction. The Grows (-) Repairs: Upon entering our room we noticed that the TV was unplugged, bathtub stopper was unscrewed (preventing sealing) and the bathtub faucet handle was broken which led to the counter top flooding over on the floor. The maintenance staff were accommodating but this ended up spoiling a portion of our romantic getaway. (-) Amenities: We were told that due to COVID-19 there were no bathrobes or in-room bar provided. Also, at night when we wanted a beverage, we were directed to walk down the street to a 24 hour deli as sodas/waters were not provided after 8:00pm. (-) Rooftop Access: The staff informed me to speak with the rooftop restaurant owner, to access the beautiful view of the city skyline. When I arrived I found out that they were closed, preventing that from being an option to celebrate my time at the hotel. All in all, I have mixed reviews. We rented the luxury penthouse for an elopement and this is the best place you can possible get married. The penthouse has a huge terrace with a stunning NYC skyline. We worked with Andreas and he was very professional and helpful. All the guests enjoyed the stay at the hotel and the ceremony went smoothly. This hotel is so picture perfect and we did lots of styled pictures at the hotel. There is also a wonderful restaurant downstairs, so our couple had their reception there. Overall wonderful experience, great staff, and outstanding service.
Originally booked 2 rooms/3 nights at TRYP Hotel/Times Square (via Hotwire). TRYP cancelled our reservation THE DAY OF CHECKIN, and offered a sub par replacement. Hotwire helped us to rebook at INK 48. Totally satisfied with INK 48. Some services were a bit limited due to Covid, but rooms were fine and location was walking distance to restaurants and bodegas. Overall very satisfied with INK 48, would stay here again and recommend to others.
Dishonest and unprofessional. This change in management has been incredibly unprofessional. I booked suites (December 2019) for my Memorial Day weekend wedding in 2020 and had wedding blocks set up for the wedding guests (January 2020). I made it clear that I had 2 dogs that are in my wedding and staying with me in my suite. They are part of my wedding party. I partly chose Ink48 because of the pet policy (no pet fees, no pet deposits, no size/breed restrictions). I had to postpone my wedding to 2021. When I had to make the date change in April due to Covid-19, Andreas gave me an addendum to change the dates but neglected to mention the change in pet policy and management. I noticed the change in the pet policy and emailed the sales director, Andreas, on October 1. With this new pet policy, not only would I only be able to only have one dog but I also would have to pay $100 extra for something I thought was included in my reservation. I asked for my wedding block guests and my own reservation to be exempt from this policy because I made the reservations while the hotel did not charge pet fees and did not have a size restriction. I consider it being "grandfathered". He did not respond for 2 weeks. It was not until I complained to the concierge desk and asked for his superior that he responded to me. He made an excuse about his reduced work schedule due to Covid as his reason for not responding. I work on a reduced work schedule too. If it took me two weeks to answer an email, I would have been fired. That was a terrible excuse. This hotel is a client relationship based business, is it not? He did not exempt my reservation or wedding blocks from the rule change. His response was to tell me that the rate was $100 per pet for the entire stay. And that he would reduce my fee to $30 per day. Whether he meant $30 per day or per pet per day is unclear. Worse case scenario, I would have had to pay more than $100 for something that was supposed to be free and included in my reservation with your hotel. Best case scenario, I pay $60 for something that was supposed to be included. He made it seem like he was doing me a favor. Can you imagine the nightmare this would have been for me to check into the hotel for my wedding if I had not spotted this change? I would have been charged another $120 and not been able to bring my large dog into the hotel (who is the ring bearer in my wedding). This is incredibly unprofessional and dishonest. I feel like this hotel is a complete joke for trying to pull wool over people's eyes. I have secured another pet friendly NYC hotel and rebooked everything there.…
