We picked up this hotel based on the price and the location ( subway station just outside the entrance ), but had we known there was no lift would propably had picked up another one. The rooms were tidy, but REALLY small, they look a lot bogger on the hotels web page. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the...

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate hearing the positive and negatives from our guests. Unfortionatly as a historic building, we are unable to install an elevator. We do realize this could be an inconvienence to some so to make up for the stairs, the hotel has a 24 hour Bell Staff to carry all your bags to and from...

We stayed in the Marrakech between Christmas and New Year. Everything about it was great! Friendly and helpful staff, nice room and great location. Very near the subway and also near lots of nice cafes and restaurants. Lovely bar in hotel - very comfortable. A very relaxed and fun holiday. Can't wait to go back!

I looked on line to try to find a reasonably priced hotel in New York. Based on the Marrakech website, I though the place was decent. It was not. First, the traveler has to climb a steep flight of steps to get to the lobby. When I got to the room, the lamp needed a light bulb, the room was...

I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. I will be reviewing your comments with my department managers so we do not have the same issues in the future. As a historic building, we are unable to install an elevator. However, the hotel does have 24 hour bell staff to carry all your bags to and from your...

I felt duped by the advertising on this hotel. After reading 200+ reviews of this hotel, I'm sure that the folks that gave more than 3 stars were staying at a different hotel. The room floors were dirty - that's where we had to store our 2 suitcases because there wasn't a proper place to hang the clothes for 2...

We stayed here for nights. The room was small but clean, and very close to the subway which made travel around NY easy. There is a Starbucks directly beside, again, handy for those morning coffees, and a stall over the road for fruit. The cons, the central heating came on in the middle of the night, and it was extremely...

Be warned -- 18-20 steps UP to the front door and 25+ more from floor to floor--narrow, poorly lit stairwells make it a challenge for all but mountain goats with built-in headlights. Special bonus--no elevator. Advice: don't bring a suitcase. You can also construct an accurate subway timetable given the station that seems directly below the hotel -- and keep...

This hotel is a complete mess. The rooms and the bathrooms are very small. The wc isn't very reliable. The room is and stays filthy. With your fresh towels you get long dark hairs for free. In some rooms the temperature is as high as in a sauna and it isn't possible to adjust the radiator. In all the rooms...

First, this is NYC and hotels are expensive. We booked this hotel in an effort to keep costs low - and I truly believe you get what you pay for. This hotel is not horrible, but it's not good either. I would have to think that you could get something better for the same rate, but not being from NYC,...
