Positives: quick check in and out, friendly reception staff, nice decor, location, wifi was kind of fast, soft beds but i had backache all week because of them, view of the Empire State Building from our window, we were on the 12th floor and didnt hear a lot of traffic compared to other New York hotels ive stayed in, door...

We were a little disappointed by the size of our room and how dark it was. On the plus side the room was clean and Staff were friendly. The continental breakfast also had a good choice. Great location for many of the attractions and shopping.

Nice hotel in midtown location, rooms good-sized for Manhattan, helpful front desk staff, OK continental breakfast. Bathroom pedestal sink a bit cramped but spacious shower. One odd thing is I never did find an exterior sign for this hotel. Read the minibar price list carefully, as always, before using.

Stayed at Morgans New York Hotel for 3 nights recently and what can I say-it was a lovely boutique hotel. When we arrived, we were shown to our room which was fine. However, it was an inside room with no window and so without any request from us, we were moved to a more comfortable room on a higher floor...

We were really impressed with this hotel. The room was clean, had everything we needed and was spacious enough for our short stay. I think we got lucky on the view too as we had a high floor room and could see the Empire State building from our window which made it a bit more special. The staff were friendly...

I cannot say there was anything particularly wrong with the stay, but if I have to stay again around the Bryant Park/Grand Central, I will probably shop around a bit. We got a pretty good deal for the room, considering it was Christmas, and quite close to many attractions, and had a breakfast included. Malin+Goetz amenities of rather generous size...

Excellent location, good staff and service, little bit "dark" rooms in common put everything functioning just great. All colours were very dark , YOu could not see the elevator puttons actually. Excellent breakfast.Good gym. The rooms without window view should have lower price.

I chose Morgans for its location and modern vibe. My room was clean and modern, big enough, well-equipped, plenty of storage, and quiet, though the bathroom was cramped and a bit awkward to use. Had trouble getting the room temperature right, which led to sleep problems (report this if you have the same experience). The staff was very attentive &...

The hotel is obviously in a nice area and the room was clean. I really like the complementary products as shampoo, conditioner and bath soap. The area for breakfast is really trendy and cool. The only reason why I can't give it 4 stars is because our room was at Penthouse floor... with a small roof-top...closed! 😓😓😓. The ceiling of...

This hotel is gorgeous. It was a perfect base for us. We went to New York for my 21st Birthday and I don't think we could have picked a better hotel. Is walking distance from most places. We had a suite on the 9th floor. Was a lovely, spacious room with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. I...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
From the moment it opened its doors on Madison Avenue in New York City, Morgans startled the world with a convention-shattering attitude and distinctive design sensibility, concocted by legendary designer Andree Putman. Again in 2008, Morgans unveiled Andree Putman's powerful reinterpretation of the first "boutique hotel" that propels Morgans' spirit forward without changing its unique character. Other features include a state of the art fitness center. Conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, Morgans is just steps to Grand Central Station, Macy's Herald Square, and The Morgan Library Museum. Morgans offers complimentary Continental breakfast and wireless internet access to every hotel guest. ... more   less
