5 night stay for a family birthday and reunion. On arrival there was a little mix up with the booking which manager Chris & staff worked quickly to resolve to our satisfaction. The suite had oodles of space , the bed was massive and very comfy. Have in your mindset this is an older hotel , with old fashioned lifts ,decor and doors. March weather was very cold and the old, drafty windows made the rooms a little cold when the curtains were pulled open, but there’s easily operated heating in the bedrooms which you just turn on to heat the room quickly. There’s lots of space to hang up clothes. The shower was over bath and adequate. The cleaning service was very efficient with the room cleaned every morning. Complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee making facilities in room. Food at both the bar and restaurant is very tasty, especially the Irish breakfast. You can get a sense of the real will from the management and staff to get back to normal after the awful pandemic closure. All the Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is excellent. All in all a fantastic stay in a wonderful city!…
This was our first time staying at Fitzpatrick’s. It’s the perfect location with Central Park, Times Square and 5th Avenue all within easy walking distance. On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Aoife who was so warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. She really looked after us so well. We had a very large bedroom with an adjacent sitting room. The bed was one of the largest we have ever slept in and was badly needed each day after a day of sightseeing. A true Irish welcome (thanks Aoife), we’ll be back.
Absolute gem of a hotel!! Location can be nothing more than 5 stars!! Yes, it could do with a bit of TLC to tidy up and modernise the rooms but I would 100% stay in this same hotel again. Highly recommended!!
The location of this hotel & its wonderful friendly & helpful staff just about compensate for the actual hotel. While quaint & Irish is expected, the rooms were very dated & tatty, not very clean & facing a brick wall. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again, or recommend it to anyone. We found a lump of broken glass under our bed, which was almost stepped on in bare feet, we brought it to management who didn't seem concerned. Then having lunch in the bar with my kids one day, another table were having a loud drunken conversation with very 'adult' content. I brought it to manager's attention & was told he was a very important client, so they couldn't say anything. Overall, great location, lovely reception staff, but let its self down with dated, not clean rooms.
Always our hotel of choice while staying in NYC. Perfect location for easy walking to many attractions, Central Park, Times Sq, 5th Ave. Large comfortable, very clean room with adjoining sitting room. Management, Reception, Bar, Restaurant and Housekeeping Staff so approachable, friendly and efficient. They are really like a welcoming family. Nothing is too much bother and everyone greets you with a smile. Good menu choices in the Bar and Restaurant. Many thanks to Chris, Emma, Aoife, Brian and their teams for looking after us so well.
The whole staff are so welcoming and friendly, our room was clean, warm and comfy, our bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, the heating was easy to use. As it was my birthday, the hotel left a bottle of fizz, and chocolate strawberry’s in our room with compliments, was a lovely touch. Reception staff and concierge were knowledgeable and easy to approach. Lovely to have the bar attached, after a long day sightseeing. Would highly recommend, and return.
Thanks to Chris, John, and the entire team for making our stay so amazing. I always love arriving in JFK and heading to the hotel. Always a warm welcome and an exquisite room. The personal service and professionalism is world class. A true Irish welcome
Super clean room with a huge walk in shower which I requested, a stone throw from Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building, bumped into some of the Aer Lingus staff who worked on my flight as well, would happily stay there again if the budget allows me
Great staff, good location - facilities looking a little tired. I couldn’t speak highly enough of all of the staff here, incredibly helpful and friendly. The young man working the bar/restaurant on his own needs a big raise, what a superstar. The rooms were nice and clean but the hotel was incredibly warm with no modern air con. The part that was disappointing was the bar/restaurant - looks tired and old and the bathrooms are not a pretty sight. They’re doing work on restoring the frontage, which makes sense but the bar/restaurant/toilets needs investment too.
Best Hotel ever stayed in. We had a junior suite family of 4. Room was a delight. Cleaned daily. Big for NYC. Staff very helpful. Location was perfect. Didn't do dining at the restaurant but it looked good. Front desk were great for solving any issues we had as they arose, very helpful.
