Being true fans of the Omni chain, and having a free night, we decided to use that night to celebrate my birthday in NYC. The Bershire Place offered to upgrade for a small fee to a suite - I mean, it was amazing. A suite with a balcony in NYC - why did I have to be born in January??!! ;-) They went above and beyond to acknowledge by birthday - truly. I was touched and overwhelmed. The weather was lovely, the room perfect, the staff friendly - perfect weekend. Thank you to all!
We had a wonderful visit at the Omni Berkshire for an extended weekend visit to Manhattan. The midtown location is great- walking distance to many of the big attractions (Broadway, Times Square, Central Park) along with easy subway access for those who wish to explore the city. The room and hotel facilities are well appointed and comfortable and the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Our Loyalty Ambassador Jennifer was helpful before and during our stay, John and William at the door offered a warm smile and lots of local knowledge and assistance. We had a slight issue with our AC and Charles and Robert promptly corrected the issue - before we actually knew there was an issue! I can see why the hotel has so many return guests- if we find our selves in New York again we will definitely return to the Omni Berkshire!…
Hotel was very good, my first visit since pre-covid, everyone super friendly and helpful. The room impeccable. I only give the stay a 4 because the neighborhood has really changed since covid. Gone is the little deli across the street where you could get a quick coffee, also many empty store fronts on Madison Avenue. I would definitely stay there again.
I stayed here through 7th-14th February and I had the best time of my life. This was my 7th visit to New York and I felt this time I needed a good hotel away from the mayhem but close enough to walk so I booked the fabulous omni Berkshire place. I wasn’t expecting the grandeur of the lobby when I walked in, it was fabulous. I knew this was my place. It’s 1 minute walk either street for most metro lines, you’ll walk to Times Square in under 10 minutes. The staff are amazing, not your run of the mill staff in most hotels in New York. Usually you just get checked in, charged extortionate resort fees and never speak again. Not here. All the staff were so friendly I even had a chat with Seth about football. I thought my knowledge was good, his was way better. The minute you get out of the elevator you’re greeted by Mary or Kevin who want to do everything to help you. I mentioned to Kevin one day I was thinking of walking the Brooklyn bridge and he gave me exact directions of where to get the best pictures and the quickest way to get there. What a professional. One night we came down in the lift and thinking of maybe doing a show. We met Mary at the desk and our show and dinner were booked in seconds. She was a queen. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough, we were treated so well from check in to check out, I need to mention Willy the doorman here because he got us a cab at such a busy time and brought our bags to the cab for us. My 8th,9th and 10th time visiting the greatest city in the world I’ll be staying here.…
We had a good five night stay at the Omni Berkshire during a family holiday to New York. We stayed in a family room (two doubles) on the 5th floor and found the room comfortable and quiet. We were pleased there was a bath tub as we were travelling with a toddler. We were slightly disappointed with the room amenities (for example, no coffee machine or bottled water and turn down only on our first evening) given the cost of staying in the hotel. The location was great - easy walking distance to Time Square, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park and subway stations. Overall, we had a good stay but felt the room amenities could be improved for a 4* hotel.
I stayed here for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I encountered staff checking in, attempting to check in early, leaving my key card in the room and assistance with using the business center. Every time they were friendly. The room was clean and quiet. Toiletries were plentiful and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint I had was I booked thru Orbitz and paid upfront, later I saw I was charged $32 after checking out and told it was a destination tax fee that all NY hotels have. I think that should have been included in the upfront cost so there was no surprise. The hotel did seem to have mostly senior citizens patrons, not that it bothered me but it’s a quiet hotel.
We loved our stay at the Omni. The location is central to all things one might want to see during the Christmas holiday break, including the Christmas windows, Rockefeller Center, the light show at Saks, etc. We liked the offering of wine and cheese in the late afternoon after walking all day in the cold! The food at the restaurant was pretty good. The decorations were beautiful in the lobby. The staff was very kind, especially the doormen and bellmen. We would definitely visit again.
Amazing Holiday in the City! The Omni was perfect for our family of 4 (2 kids/2 adults) for a quick pre-Christmas trip to the city. The location was great - walk to Rockefeller, Lego, Nintendo, American Girl, Broadway, Bryant Park, Central Park. Easy walk to the subway and we didn’t have any issues getting a taxi or Uber when needed. We stayed in the Madison suite, one king bed, sofa bed and a rollaway, and there was still a ton of room for the kids to hang out and relax after a busy day in the city. There was a mini fridge and two person dining table, too. The room was quiet with great views. The bathroom was large with a big soaking tub, which was nice for end of day sore feet. I was impressed with the responsiveness of the staff. We needed a rollaway and extra towels and they arrived quickly. I feel like so many hotels haven’t figured this out post Covid, so it was nice to not have to hunt someone down. Kevin and Mary in the concierge were very helpful in booking our car service to and from the airport. The only downside we found was no in-room dining, just coffee in the morning. We will be back for sure!…
We decided to visit NYC and stay at the Omni Berkshire. One expects great service at a luxury hotel and they did not disappoint. The nice surprise was the staff. Not only friendly and attentive but over the top in how we were treated . Thank you Nor in the restaurant and Lenny out front. We will be back mostly because of your hospitality! Chuck and Karen Evans
Great location between 5th and Madison. Close to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Close enough to Timed Square without feeling too busy. Safe area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy parking with valet. Bell staff was wonderful!
