Fabulous stay at the Omni Berkshire! Traveled with our teenage daughter and her friend and were upgraded to a beautiful spacious suite, so much room so the girls had their own area ( because who wants to room with your parents?) thank you to the amazing front desk staff for that!! We adored Lenny the doorman he was so entertaining and fun! Beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect proximity to 5th Ave, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. Such a great stay! Thank you so much! Keep doing everything you are doing!
Nicest hotel I've been in in quite awhile. Daily made service (shame on you other properties that don't do it) at least they tidied up and made our beds, provided fresh towels. Clean and observant staff from the doormen to the Concierge and Front desk. Convenient to coffee shops and good restaurants, easy to get a cab from mid-town. On Fifth Avenue so shop till you drop! I can't venture enough compliments about this property as it is a welcome, quiet, retreat.
My husband and I stayed at the Omni Berkshire Place in May 2022 for a long weekend. The hotel is in a great location easy to walk to nearby major attractions. The room was standard, but nicely furnished and the bathroom was spacious. We typically receive upgrades with our status, but that was not available then. Although we were located across from the elevator the hotel interior was quiet. However, major street construction from late evening to the morning was underway every night and at times disrupted sleep. The hotel bar and restaurant for breakfast are very nice with friendly staff. The bellmen were very accommodating. It was a bit odd that the concierge did not know about the newer Moynihan Train Hall--another staff member behind the desk had to explain it to her as she only knew of Penn Station. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and we would recommend this Omni to family and friends.…
We have been coming here for 15 years. We cant' imagine the toll Covid took on the staff and team here. We were thrilled to see this Fine Hotel return ( post Covid ) - So booked a return trip. SO happy the Omni is back! A wonderful hotel with a perfect midtown location. Lenny the doorman is amazing and will make everyone feel so welcome. Be sure to sign up for select guest prior to booking—it’s free. Free coffee each morning. Highly recommend!
I had the most wonderful stay at the Omni Berkshire. The staff is incredible, the rooms were spacious and luxurious and the amenities were amazing. This hotel recent underwent a nice lobby refresh and it looks terrific. Omni was going to unaffiliate itself with this hotel after covid but due to NY labor issues decided to keep it. I hope Omni keeps this property forever. It is a truly wonderful property--one of the best in NYC.
Fist time back in this hotel since the pandemic , my husband was on a business trip . We had a great room, sadly no room service available . Staff super Mary the Concierge is lovely and always helps us . Love the location
We.had a great time at the Omni. Although the hotel can use a little lift in some of the rooms, the location is superb and the courtesy and kindness of each employee is, as always, warm and welcome. Congratulations and thank you for opening again!
We took a last minute trip to New York to see a show at Rockefeller Center and ended up staying at the Omni just based on proximity. What a wonderful surprise! The hotel had just reopened a few weeks prior. The room looked fantastic! It was quite large by New York standards. It was so comfortable! The staff could not have been more helpful, professional and hospitable. The very nice concierge even advised on a rapidly approaching storm when we were running out to grab a quick lunch. She wanted to make sure we did not get caught out in bad weather. The entire staff was so kind and eager to help. It was an easy walk to Rockefeller Center and to Central Park. We had a magical stay in New York and the Omni Berkshire was a very large part of the magic. We had a
I'm torn how to review the Omni. Like many hotels globally they are probably challenged to get staff and thus certain things are below standards. The hotel is a half block from my firm's HQ so absolutely convenient location for that and many things in mid-town: Rock center, Radio City, etc. First the good: the staff in the hotel with whom I interacted (not sure if the attached bar/restaurant is actually managed by the hotel or not so excluding) are top-notch including the doormen/bellmen and the front desk. They use the guest's name, they acknowledge status, they engage in polite chat but are also efficient. The housekeeping staff are clearly stretched thin but are polite and efficient. When I returned from the office at 6 pm my first day my room hadn't been serviced but a maid knocked on the door as I was leaving for dinner at 6:15. Cleaning was limited: my sheets didn't appear to be changed at all during my five-night stay, carpet wasn't vacuumed, but things were tidied. At least it's something. Fitness room is actually pretty decent but equipment is jumbled. Most noticeable was that staff clearly didn't even check the room for days at a time - several used towels were strewn in the same spots for several days before finally being picked up. equipment was never arranged - dumbbells were never put back on the rack, bosu balls were all over. Again, staff clearly didn't pay attention. I was in a basic king-bed room facing the interior so I assume the entry-level room. It had clearly been refreshed - looked like fresh paint, carpet and TV. furniture isn't new but was in good condition. Bathroom was small but nicely arranged - looks like it was redecorated about 15 years ago. HVAC is a joke - like most NYC hotels in the winter you can't actually make the room cooler, it's always going to be warm; the numbers on the thermostat are just there to entertain you. Oh, and pet peeve: NO COFFEE MAKER (or refrigerator) IN THE ROOM!!! And in a hotel with no room service and no free coffee in the lobby, this is a no-go for me. The attached bar/restaurant was a real let down. I wanted to have dinner solo one evening but they wouldn't seat me in the dining area and pointed me to the bar. The bar was packed most evenings and I never saw anyone checking vaccination status (required by NYC law and, uh, logic). Since there's no coffee maker in the room (see above) I hoped I could just walk in the morning and grab a paper cup to go - nah. This is another huge turnoff for me. Overall, convenient location, good staff, OK room and gym, but lack of room amenities and lack of dining option means I'll avoid the Omni on future visits.…
