I stayed at the Sixty LES for a month for work and had a really nice stay. My company reserved a queen size room; amazing view but very small. For a reasonable price they upgraded me to a gorgeous, king size room with a balcony. Spectacular view, worth the extra price. Beautiful shower, nice bathroom products, great, firm bed. Fatou,...

The hotel is really nice, great location, staff is very helpful and attentive. The decor is modern, the bar on the 7th floor closes around 10pm so there isn't noise keeping you up. Overall we were happy. My only complaint was that our bed had down pillows and comforter. I'm highly allergic to down so our first night wasn't pleasant,...

Booked 3 nights through h****re, $180 p/ night, which is a steal. Room was very modern, great bathroom ( separate shower and tub), clean with a great balcony and view. The pool on the 3rd floor although it's a small area, was amazing during some hot humid days- I think it's one of the best amenities of this hotel. Location...

Stayed recently for three nights for pleasure, the position is cool, between lower east side and east village, the room was great, with a nice view of the city, but I have really to complain about the breakfast service and the staff. I booked on line a room rate with breakfast included, discovering at the check in that only $...

Came to New York for a wedding with my family. We stayed in a double deluxe room. I was worried that we may be too squashed but the room was actually very spacious for New York standards. Rooms are extremely modern with possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The weather was extremely hot so it was...

Recently I was visiting my 22yo Daughter who lives in Manhattan and wound up meeting a British model who drank so much champagne that she called herself a "Sorry Drunk" I was not sorry that I met her. ANYWAYS... we were hopelessly lost in The Lower East Side unable to even see or comprehend the iPhones directions. Guess what happened?...

I had requested an early check in. We arrived at 2 and was told the room would not be ready until 3. We ate and came back at 3 to be told the room wouldn't be ready for another hour (an hour after the regular check in time). The young lady at the front desk was rude, made no eye...

At check in they lost my booking. But that was made up for with a room upgrade, or so I thought. I discovered that the room upgrade came with a clogged toilet. Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.

Step out into the street life and walk directly into the world-recognized New Museum or countless gastronaut destination spots. But guests need go no further than the vibrant award-winning Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya tavern and bar for Japanese cuisine and stellar cocktails, courtesy of foodie deities the Bromberg brothers.
