We stayed at The Mark over Thanksgiving week 2021. This is our 2nd stay (same time back in 2019). One of the other reviewers captured it best with "old-fashioned luxury!" So true. We loved our room. We were in a suite facing 77th Street; we opted for a slightly bigger room then our last stay. We were traveling with our boys - 9 and 11. The boys utilized the pull-out sofa that was promptly made and also turned down each morning and night. The bathroom is the best part. They are huge. The water pressure is amazing (we live in CA 😬). The bedding was luxurious and everything was incredibly clean - important these days! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The Concierge went above and beyond to help us assemble a toy for my nephew's first birthday. We used the car service several times, as well. We loved ordering coffee and pastries each morning. We booked through AMEX, so breakfast was included. We had drinks in the bar several times - such a cozy spot. And my boys loved the hot dog stand. For us, The Mark is away from all the chaos of Manhattan, next to the park and amazing shopping, and offers a personalized, luxurious stay. We can't wait for our next visit. A++

Staying at The Mark is always a treat. The staff treat you like they know you. They know if you've stayed with them before and they thank you for coming back. Front desk, bellmen, concierge and all other staff go out of their way to HELP. Rooms are beautiful, neighborhood is "old" New York and conveniently located and easy to get around from. Can't wait to return!

my wife and I and 4 other couples spent the weekend at The Mark. This was a staycation for us and we wanted to be pampered. the Mark is one of the best hotels in the city. top service, beautiul rooms and lobby. one of the best bar/lounge's to hang out in., located in an upscalle neighborhood. near museums, shopping and Central Park. we had dinner Saturday night at their restaurant. also one of the best in the city. the manager came over to the table to check and see if everything was perfect. which it was. we will do this again and again

The Mark is an expensive hotel but the ROI on the money spent was returned tenfold in the experience my wife and I enjoyed during our recent stay over the holidays. The pre-arrival communication from the concierge and guest relations teams was superior and indicative of the level of attention we received throughout our stay. The concierge team was able to secure some very last-minute reservations and they were in touch with us via text/phone throughout our time. We stayed in a queen room with a courtyard view and, for NYC standards, the room was spacious with plenty of closet space and a bathroom almost as large as the bedroom. The large soaking tub was a welcome respite for my wife after a long day of sightseeing and shopping in the city, and the water pressure in the shower was enough to blast away any stress for me. Having only stayed in Midtown on previous trips, the location of The Mark in the Upper East Side was a quiet escape from the madness of NYC during the holidays. Being within walking distance of Central Park, The Guggenheim, The Met, and Ralph's Coffee made for wonderful morning strolls. The Mark is an entire experience and an incredible way to spend time in NYC.

We have to travel to NYC several times a year for work and the odd personal event. After the Covid pandemic the hotel I had stayed at for years was closed. I love the 70's streets in NYC on the E side. It's close to C Park, the museums, the Explorers Club(my office in NYC) and it's the part of NYC that is quieter, smaller buildings, feels more like home to me. So we booked at The Mark not knowing what to expect and it surpassed all of our hopes for the weekend. Fantastic rooms, ridiculously great service, great food and beverage and an unbelievable location. If you are like me, you don't like giant hotels but you want that super hotel service... If that is you The Mark is right on the money.. So thrilled we have found our new home when we visit NYC. The Mark takes that massive city and gives you a first class home, with a staff that is there for your every need and it's in the nicest part of town!
