I wanted a quick luxury overnight getaway in the city so I chose the Mark due to its reputation and great reviews. Honestly it was a very expensive show about nothing. I have stayed in far more luxurious city hotels around the world with superior EVERYTHING. Crowded lines at check in and check out, a tiny rather shabby lobby, dark hall ways, and except for a lovely bathroom, a very small rather depressing room with 2 small armless chairs to sit in, not even close to each other. There isn’t space for that. I guess I should be blown away by the models in the lobby and rock star looking guests. But I wasn’t. I was thinking I should have stayed somewhere else. The area is so lovely, and breakfast outside in the tent was very nice. But I will not return to the Mark. It’s all hype, smoke and mirrors. However, an extremely nice woman named Carmel helped me check out and buck the long line. She was extremely sweet and personable, a stand out.

The Mark never lets me down! This is my second time I stayed there and the service is always amazing. The breakfast was super fast and delicious. Molly the director of Guest Relation made this trip so much better because she was very welcoming and at tentative to everyone's needs. Even during our gathering at the Penthouse, Molly came up and made sure everything was in order and that everyone was having fun. Mark never cease to amaze me.

A very special hotel in every sense .. Very rarely do you find a hotel that ticks every box and The Mark really does. The location is fantastic but what sets it apart is the people. The front desk ,concierge, doormen, bar tenders ,cleaning ladies ..they are all AMAZING. Worth a special mention are Patrick , Sarah ,Maria & Gabriella who went over & above to make it a wonderful and memorable stay and we cannot thank them and the entire team enough. When we left my wife and 9 year old daughter were crying - this has never happened before! Whatever purpose of trip , business or pleasure, I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough and we cannot wait to return.

Don't bother reading my review, just go. Heaven. Amazing rooms - the decor is sublime! The bed is so comfortable. The bathroom is excellent( the bath is divine for soaking, and the shower water pressure is perfect ! ) The staff are so attentive, and helpful.

Just got home from a recent stay at the Mark with my partner and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. From the attentive staff, to the chic and elegant design of the furnishings and rooms (we stayed in a courtyard Queen), and the wonderful location of the hotel (a block from Central Park)...it was a lovely experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was very chic (I particularly love the design of the floors)...oh, and the shower water pressure was awesome, lol. Everything just seemed nice and crisp and clean...was a joy to return to the hotel room after being out and about. My only gripe is that we weren't able to get an outside table to have brunch at the hotel restaurant Jean Georges. Might be a good idea to give hotel guests a real priority when it comes to eating at the restaurant...but maybe that's just me...small thing really. Otherwise, was a great experience...would definitely stay there again!

From the very first moment we put our foot inside this beautiful hotel we felt at home. The staff was so incredibly friendly and courteous at all times, making us feel so comfortable and cosy. We were addressed with our names every time we came close to reception or the concierge desk - mentioning the concierge, this has been an impeccable experience. Having travelled the world, never has a concierge team impressed me so much as in our recent stay at the Mark. Especially Suzana and Vinmore were making our stay in New York so special in every way. They arranged tickets for the most wanted venues and came up with the best suggestions and ideas at all times - very genuine and with love. We will definitely return to the Mark when we come to NYC next. Thank you for this amazing experience!

Our teenage son and I just returned from our Spring Break trip to NYC. We decided to stay at The Mark after reading such favorable reviews. I'm thrilled to say the favorable reviews are an understatement based on our experience. The exceptional service began long before we arrived to the hotel. The most wonderful, thoughtful and caring concierge - Suzana M. - looked after every single detail. She was instrumental in making this the best mom/son trip we could have ever imagined. Upon check-in we were greeted by the lovely front desk staff and beyond pleased with the seamless process. The room was well appointed and the bathroom was superb. The water pressure in the shower is so great it felt like a massage. The food at the hotel is delicious and the service is impeccable. We loved the breakfast each morning and eating a late lunch in the bar/lounge with Vlad who made sure every detail was perfect. Our son wouldn’t miss the hot dog cart and getting to know the magnificat Harry who operates the cart and made sure we had everything we needed. We would not stay anywhere else in the city after this experience. We felt so welcome and taken care of at all times. The hotel is so well staffed that everything is anticipated before you need to ask. A few other members of the team we would like to acknowledge are Gabriela and Maria (concierge), David (front desk) and Tony (front desk). The front desk manager Tony handed us his card on our way out and expressed how much he appreciated our stay and would love to welcome us back. We will be back!

Forward all my mail here, there is no better place to stay in NYC or on the UES. Michael the doorman is fantastic The concierge team is 100% the best, and the restaurant is chic and sophisticated. This is my go ot place in the big Apple. Only complaint is you shouldn't have to ask for a Nespresso to be brought to the room. At this price point and luxury every room should have a Nespresso machine already there. Something to think about for a hotel wide refresh.
