Such an incredible hotel from start to finish, the service was fantastic and our room (and view from the room) was to die for! Location was great, right by the park and close to all of the great museums. We had such an great weekend stay. Thank you to everyone! Xx

I've stayed here twice this year (5 nights and 3 nights) and will be staying there again soon. I've chosen the Madison King room each time and find it to be quiet enough for the city. I traveled with my little dog and we enjoyed every visit. The service here has been excellent from beginning to end. They are prompt in correcting any problems that may arise. The most important thing this year was feeling safe and protected, and I definitely found that here with all the measures they're taking to ensure a safe environment in their hotel—it does mean losing certain service touches but that's a small thing to forego for everyone's safety. Many thanks to Molly who has been wonderfully responsive, taking care of everything, and making me feel so very welcome. It is difficult to travel in the time of Covid and still whenever I have to be in NYC I never think twice about where to stay. Staying here is so worth it.

Dear Manuel, Seasons Greetings! On behalf of myself and our group... I would like to thank you and all your staff for making our stay at the Mark memorable and enjoyable and we were made very much comfortable and felt welcome and at home... The team at the Mark Hotel has accommodated all our needs to the fullest. I would really like to thank the IT department who went above and beyond to help out all our needs in providing us the live soccer game. I can say for a fact we have not received such great service from the IT department from other hotels as to the one we received from your hotel. Please give my great appreciation to Imran and Zaeem. Also special thanks go to Ms Dolma and all her team especially Madou, Reggie and Princess, all housekeeping staff, Isabelle, front desk staff and kitchen staff... especially Ms Brooke... Mr Omar , Ms Dounia & Mr Hameed... All the porters and bell boys for their help and support. I’m sure I have forgotten to mention more names.. so please pass our thanks to all your staff. We have been to NYC several times and stayed in different top end hotels..,however this time it’s different thanks to all of you ... Thanks again and God bless all of you. Sincerely yours, Abdelmonim

We stayed 4 nights early November as a family of 5 - my husband, two boys ages 3 and 6, and a baby. I originally booked the Seventy Seven Junior suite due to the pull out sofa bed that I planned to have my boys share. The pull out bed is terrible quality - flimsy mattress on bars. Not good sleep even for small children. This room also has no window in the living space - feels like a cave. The bed in the master bedroom was also terrible. In addition to the poor beds, the room was on a low floor, extremely noisy, and lacking blackout drapes. No one slept well. We moved to the Garden Suite the following day. What a difference! This room was quiet and spacious. There was a full kitchen that we used often with Covid restrictions and eating in. Still no blackout drapes, but you can ask housekeeping to add an additional liner. There were mini robes and slippers for the boys - which they loved! We will definitely come again - and would book this room. The junior suites were not family friendly, in my opinion. Expect abbreviated service due to Covid (no turn down service) but the staff were overall very helpful and we had a nice stay

This is a wonderful hotel with a few disappointments. I'll start with the pros: * Greeting: the smiles and attention from the moment we pulled up were warm and welcoming. We were announced to the front desk where staff was prepped and ready for our arrival. * Service is quick and attentive, with a smile -- across the board. * Room -- we were in a Superior Courtyard King, a very minimal upgrade from the Madison King which we booked: i. spacious bathroom, including two sinks. ii. Lots of closets/closet space, including a closet in the bathroom. iii. Amazing strong water pressure in the shower, really rejuvenating! iv. Nice large size bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion), private label from perfumer La Bottega dell’Albergo. v. Premium high performing hair dryer. vi. Ample Sub-Zero fridge/freezer pullout drawers (stocked w mini bar items, but also plenty of extra room to add your own). vii. USB ports next to each bedside. viii. Extra large bath towels. ix. Ability to link bedroom TV to personal Netflix. x. Good automatic blackout shades. xi. Very quiet location. xii. Heated towel rack. * Elevator generally ready and open/waiting on ground floor. * Front desk very quick to answer phone for service requests. * Generous extra free waters from front desk upon request. * Cool lobby/posh hotel vibe/ambiance. * Free bikes (also part of the Cons). Now for the Cons: * Mattress: uncomfortable/old w weak edges, should have been replaced a long time ago. * Air conditioner: wimpy, ineffective -- they offered portable AC to supplement but main AC should be sufficient...temp was only 50 degrees outside. * Breakfast nickle and diming: we were on a package that included free breakfasts. Despite this, we were only allowed a $30/person credit towards breakfast which doesn't even meet the hotel's own price of $44 for The "Mark Breakfast" (classic American breakfast comprising two eggs, OJ, Coffee and bacon). But try to order some veggies for your omelette and you're hit with ridiculous surcharges (same for ordering 2 thin slices of tomato and onion for a bagel), adding $6-8 per person to the bill. Just a terrible policy on top of an already over-priced breakfast menu. * Sheets: personally, I didn't like the sheets. I prefer, smoother, softer sheets. I know the hotel lists the sheets as "fine Italian linens" -- I don't doubt them, just not my preference. * Free bikes, clumsy, hard to ride, and they don't have adult sized bike helmets available. The public blue bikes are better/easier to ride.
