Certificate of Excellence
The Mark is housed, as it has always been, in the beautiful, 1927 landmark building at the corner of 77th Street and Madison Avenue. But, inside, the Mark has been completely reimagined, and given new life and identity for the 21st century. Newly reborn, The Mark combines old-world comfort, avant-garde design, up-to-the-minute technology and an unprecedented level of personal service to create the finest five-star hotel of the 21st century. Drawing on the expertise of an extraordinary group of talent – foremost, among them, the designer Jacques Grange, Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, hair stylist Frederic Fekkai and the hotel general manager Olivier Lordonnois – The Mark Hotel is now a beacon of high French style, and modern American technology and comfort. The delights of The Mark are both bold and discreet. The graphic lobby is colorful and convivial, situated with unique objects d’art that surprise and intrigue. Studded in one of New York's most exclusive neighborhoods, The Mark is surrounded by the world's premier museums, shops, restaurants and the splendor of Central Park. The Mark not only surrounds you in luxury and style, it places you at the epicenter of Manhattan’s social and cultural riches. The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges, set within The Mark Hotel has received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator in 2012.

Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

The Mark took me as an early morning panic booking (single night in another hotel was horrifying), right before the Met Ball, and it was a FABULOUS stay! Not a celebrity (except in my own mind) but they gave me the best service possible, especially the Concierge staff, and it

Soup to nuts, the best service staff in the business. Genuine professional service, always with a smile, and all willing to go the extra mile. My waitress assisted with removing pigeon poop from my blazer -- seriously. And the immense water pressure in the delightful rainfall

Exceeded expectations!! The front desk and concierge staff are very accommodating and attentive and made our stay perfect. I asked for a room change (we were staying five nights, and I wanted a soaking tub) the front desk was very gracious and facilitated the room change

Simply perfect. Some employees are a little bit too stiff (I really can’t see why...kind of funny: they’re ridiculous) but the majority is nice and professional. Beautiful hotel, great rooms, close to various museums...I’ll be back again for sure.
