Very comfortable place to stop for a glass of wine and rest your tired feet. Good wine selection, not huge but very nice. Good service as you would expect at a 5 star hotel. It's easy walking down from the MET, and makes a convenient stop.

We really love this place! It's in the upper price range, sure, but it's worth it when compared to others in its class. Clean and quiet rooms with all the expected appointments. Near Central Park but in a significantly more peaceful area than around 59th. Subway and bus lines conveniently nearby. And about a 10-15 minute walk to the Met...

Thank you for your five star review. I’m so pleased to hear you found our rooms to be so well-appointed and that you had a chance to explore all that our neighborhood has to offer. On your next visit, be sure to take advantage of our pedicab service, that brings guests to all the nearby museums, shops and Central Park....

We came here from staying at a lovely small hotel in the Tribeca area to finish up our week stay in New York City. Traffic is horrible and it takes about 45 minutes during the day to get via taxi, Uber or Lyft from Tribeca to the MOMA, so the change in venue made for easier access to uptown entertainments....

The hotel is probably one of the trendiest and most "upper east side" style in NYC. Everybody from the doormen, the reception desk staff, the concierge desk or the servers is top notch, friendly, helpful and really professional. The interior design is really interesting, with a 70s feeling that is really well made. The bar is particularly cute, as it...

Thank you for your review – I’m delighted to hear that you found our staff to be so friendly and professional. While I am pleased that you were impressed with our interior design, I regret that you were unsatisfied with the size of our guest rooms – as we have many different categories, ranging anywhere from 36 to 1,000 square...

The Mark is one of the best hotels among the best hotels. Location, design, comfort, service... Service was absolutely superb. I got a Madison Ave. facing room on the 3rd floor; it was too noisy and had no writing desk. The next day I was politely moved to a courtyard facing room on the 7th floor, which I liked a...

One of the best hotels of the world! Luxurious, classy, excellent service, details and great location. Don't miss the bar at nights! The staff is outstanding, everyone is willing to help and have the most high service standards! Very private and exclusive, details in every room tell a lot about the great taste on decoration and design.

frankly not willing to share my impressions on this ideally located next to central park (E77) boutique hotel. My favorite place in Nyc whether for business or in couples. Rooms by jacques grange , food by jean-georges! All is great including an impeccable service under an excellent general management . To be improved : no sauna and the darkness of...

This is a nice little hotel smack bang near Central Park. But its very over priced for the size of the rooms - its pretty noisy and the concierge was very very bad. I mean they didn't even know where to see good Jazz nearby - everything seemed to be a bit hard for them. Yes ....there was a TV...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
