We stayed here for 2 nights in a suite and 9 nights in a standard room. The location was perfect for us because we wanted the downtown experience, and it was very close to Little Italy, SoHo and subway stations. The staff, especially Hugo, were brilliant and always friendly. The complimentary breakfast and internet use in the lobby was also...

This was a first time trip to NY and this couldn't have been a better place to stay. Loved the hotel. We got the travelzoo price ($119) and thought maybe hotel would reflect that low price. Totally opposite. everyone's comments are right on. can't think of anything negative. only thing is if you are used to putting your clothes in...

Stayed here for a night with two children (9-14) in late June. I travel frequently and am a hotel shopper. Can't say I've found a cleaner, better located, or friendlier hotel for the money in any other city I've stayed in, on a comparative scale. Stayed several nights in NYC in the last few years in other much more expensive...

My wife and I stayed at the BW Bowery Hanbee for 5 nights in May, 2009 when we were in NYC for our son's graduation. We found a special rate on the internet. The location in Chinatown was not centrally located with respect to many sights in NYC. However the hotel is located 2 blocks from a subway line with...

I saw all the good reviews on here, so I had high hopes. I was not disappointed. This is a great place to stay. Clean, close to several subway lines, dozens of different places to eat close by and this hotel is very moderately priced. The room is nothing fancy, breakfast is very simple, but at this price and location,...

I'm used to thinking (right or wrong) that Best Western's are horrible properties and prefer Westin's, etc. Well in this case boy was I wrong. This hotel is a GREAT find. Great value, good location. Very clean, upscale hotel. Other than needing a better parking solution, no concerns at all. This is the BEST VALUE in Manhattan.

We 4 adults and my 2-yr old grandson arrived, were checked in, and both our families received beautiful 'boutique' rooms, complete with laminate-wood floors, flat-panel TV, and all the other usual amenities. The property, located here: <http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do?propertyCode=33133>, lies in the heart of lower Manhattan for : Canal Street shopping, subways are a couple blocks walk; a block east of Little...

I travel to New York frequently and found an amazing price for this hotel on-line with free internet access and continental breakfast! The location is excellent - in the middle of Chinatown, blocks away from Little Italy, and very close proximity to the subway. The staff was helpful and efficient. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were well done with...

Beautiful room. Location in middle of China Town and few blocks from Little Italy. Subway is only a few blocks away. Head to O'Neals bar/restaurant. Beautiful decor, great food and Sex in the City was filmed here a few times.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
