After spending a short time in NYC and a 6-day-east coast tour with an American Touragency we (4 adoults) staied 1 night in this Hotel. I booked it on the booking.com. The Hotel has a good area at the board of Chinatown and Little Italy. You can reach easily every corner of New York City with the subway from there....

After a long vacation from Brisbane, Australia which included many cities in north America, our final destination was New York. We were therefore in a position to make good comparisons on the hotel accommodation (mainly 3 star) we experienced on our trip. The Best Western Bowery Hanbee Hotel won hands down, and in future trips to New York we will...

My husband and I stayed here for six nights as part of our honeymoon in April 2011. The hotel is well located, within walking distance to Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, shopping, restaurants and art galleries. If you don’t mind walking a little further afield, we also walked to Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, Greenwich Village and TriBeCa from here. There is...

We travelled to the Bowery Hanbee with friends and our 6 year old son in March this year, booking through hotelclub.com who made a mistake with our reservation, i.e. failing to reserve a place for our child. Nevertheless, the hotel were extremely accommodating and gave us a larger room at no additonal cost. I have read some fairly poor reviews...

My friend and I stayed at the Best Western Bowery for 3 nights. Now if you've stayed in NYC before you will know that not only can it be very expensive for a decent room but even still the rooms are usually quite small and because of the street noise you may find it difficult to sleep . . ....

I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2011 with 3 friends. I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel, even after reading many good reviews. I travel a lot and thought I would be underwhelmed but was not. The hotel is in a great location very close to 2 subway stations (Bowery and Grand St) on 2 different lines. One...

The quality of the hotel suprised us given that we paid a lot less than comparable hotels in the city, about 5 minutes walk to the subway, surrounded by Chinatown and 2 blocks from what remains of Little Italy, which is a really nice place to stroll in the evening. The rooms were larger than expected , good bed and facilities,...

The Best Western Bowery Hanbee Hotel is right on the border of Chinatown and Little Italy. The neighborhood was fun with lots of character. Our room was clean, unusually spacious for NYC, and the staff was friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Bowery Hanbee for 9 nights in April 2011 and can only say that we loved it there. Many of the advantages have already be mentioned in the several good ratings here before: The hotel is new, rooms are very clean and modernly equipped, the showers are fantastic, beds are really comfortable, breakfast is sufficient and offers...

My only complaint is that the ice and vending machines are on odd, high floors. Susan and Jeffery at the front desk were both very helpful and friendly. The hardwood floor rooms were immaculate, and the beds were middle-soft.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
