If you can stay downtown, this is the most wonderful option. The staff is amazing, old world hospitality. The pool in the lower floor is mystical. The rooms are cozy and warm. The location is near central to everything Tribeca. Leave the kids at home - this part of New York is a haven for adults.
We stayed in a room viewing out onto the courtyard. This was an absolutely excellent stay. Breakfast was delicious and the pool was divine. We read a fresh newspaper in the morning with my beautiful breakfast, eventually relaxed and enjoyed the pool area, which I recommend 10/10, and then returned to our rooms to enjoy the most luxurious shower experience. The bed was alright, but an easy thing to overlook. Waiting upon our arrival was Champaign and a cookie, which was splendid. We truly had a wonderful experience! The restaurant was also a must, and room service was excellent!
Beautiful interiors, an inviting drawing room and the lovely outdoor courtyard make this hotel a special retreat. Rooms are light-filled, comfortable and airy, with personal touches such as one-of-a-kind art and furniture pieces. It almost feels like you're in someone's private home.
Everything about the GH is amazing. The staff, the rooms, the amenities, the free many bar, the food, the spa, the location. It's fantastic and we can't wait to go back. The location is great too, walking distance from "little island" Barry Diller's wonderful gift to the city and the Whitney museum. It is two blocks from the river and walking and running paths are energetic and clean. The GH is 5 star +.
We stayed at the Greenwich Hotel and it was perfect. Great room, great service, great location. We will definitely return, the next time we are in New York. The restaurants are fantastic, as is the saunas in the room. It’s walking distance to “little island” the Whitney museum amd great shopping. I give it a 10 out of 10.
Beautiful and unique in a way that must be seen to truly understand. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Superior staff. The drawing room and courtyard are highlights where you can hang out at all hours of the day. Locanda Verde food is delicious.
We spent our 40th wedding anniversary in NYC and stayed at The Greenwich Hotel. We’ve been in NY many times and decided to try staying in Tribeca. What a great decision!!!! The Greenwich Hotel felt like home and the area was wonderful. We’ve found our new favorite spot to stay when we visit NYC.
Beautiful hotel! Feels like you are on a European vacation. One of the few hotels where we purposely never leave. The room, the spa and the restaurant/bar are all exceptional. Staff are always very kind as well.
The Greenwich Hotel is a special place with a special vibe that's not entirely for everyone. It's very well located in the Tribeca area and has Locanda Verde to service its food so it's full service. The food is probably my least favorite part about this hotel- it's overpriced and not super appealing. That said, if you stay at the hotel you have access to a private courtyard that is wonderful and a drawing room that's cozy with a fireplace and leather couches. It's like hanging out in a library. The hotel itself has rooms that are all different, all of which have comfy beds and great showers. They clean twice a day and you get complementary snacks and drinks in room which is pretty awesome. The room amenities are also artisan and smell lovely. The cons are the rooms have wood floors that can be very creaky and the courtyard rooms are loud especially if you are by a staff stairwell. The hotel though has so much charm, it really feels quite different than a regular hotel, you can't help but love it. It's old New York. The price point is high- there are probably other hotels at this price point that may have more offerings but not in Tribeca. Lastly they have an indoor pool and spa that is small and lovely. Very relaxing.…
What a wonderful hotel. I was delighted to stay again and the hotel went beyond all expectations to make it an impeccable stay. We travelled as a family for my sisters birthday and it was a truly one-of-a-kind experience from start to finish. Enormous thanks to Philip Truelove and Shannon Knapp for a MasterClass in hospitality
