The kitchen is good to have just bring your own dish soap. Housekeeping staff were very busy during our stay. They helped me a lot. They made me feel comfortable and at home. Thank you for everything!

We were staying here when Broadway went dark... afraid we would be asked to shelter in place there, we cut the trip short. However, this would have been a pretty good place to shelter... a view, a window that opens for fresh air, a kitchen, comfy bed with a nice big recliner chair. The staff here was limited in numbers, but perfectly nice. In particular, I want to thank Kishanna, who was very polite and straight-forward with me as I worriedly checked out last minute. We were on the 30 floor (paid extra for a view room) and loved our view of the Hudson Yards Observation Deck. The sheets and pillows were great quality. There aren't many rooms on each floor, so it was quiet from the hallways. The bathroom is small but serviceable with high quality towels, and plenty of them. I will say, as this virus thing got more and more looming, it was fantastic to have a kitchen. A few times, I bought food, then cooked it again to make sure it was safe. Our room included breakfast which was delivered by Butler. The menu was small, but delicious. Again, I would re-cook the deliveries and it worked out great. They always delivered VERY quickly after my online order (20 minutes... crazy fast) and included all the possible extras (butter, jam, sugar, etc) I could have possibly needed. (picture included here) One thing that did bother me was that the front desk didn't seem to know what corporate had booked with me. I booked through their own website... several things were promised. 2 waters a day, a snack from their pantry each day, etc. The desk was SUPER nice about accommodating me on my word, but never had any kind of record stating that these were included. So each day, I felt like I had to go begging for these items. This aside, I had a great stay at the Candlewood. I was able to walk to all the theaters and restaurants and felt safe going home at night. I'm only sorry the trip had to be cut short!

Got in our room, it looked ok, we were very tired from a day exploring New York , candle wood is in a great location. My husband showered, I feel asleep. The morning I opened the bed stand drawer, there was a half eaten Nutella container in there. 😬. I went into the bathroom and saw the bath mat that had dirty shoe prints on it, my husband said it was like that when he took it off the bath tub. 😳 Gross. I took it down to reception and they said they’d take care of it. We left early that day for the whole day til dark. When we got back there was a new bath matThen I noticed the toilet had like black mold stain in it. I took a wad of toilet paper and wiped it and it came off. That toilet hadn’t been cleaned in awhile, so gross. I don’t have proof but I’m really wondering if we were the only ones in that bed !! They promised to refund us a night for the abysmal cleanliness of the room, that was Sept 2019, now it’s March 2020 and still no refund. I think I’ve given enough time to make it right with what they promised. Since we’ve received nothing it was time to make others aware of the cleanliness of this place. Erika [-] , Assistant General Manager has not followed through on what she said she would do.

When we checked in we were told they needed a card in case of damages. We then were charged $130! And then the next day we’re charged $50 without asking for our card again! We were told we would get all of that refunded by one person and then by another person were told we were only getting $50 refunded. Firstly, we were not given a receipt because we were told the printer was broken. Secondly, why do different members tell you different things!? Thirdly, why were we charged large amounts without being told they were taking money out our account? Lastly, we checked out almost 3 weeks ago and have still NOT received a refund and no one is replying to our emails! Absolutely appalling service. I do not recommend.

Hello 1Michaelaa1, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback about your stay at our hotel. Complete guest satisfaction is our topmost priority and we're saddened that it didn't happen this time. I'm sorry to hear about the bill mixed-up and the level of service in addressing this let you down. This isn't common to our norms and we'll discuss this accordingly with the team. I shared your review with our hotel management. Rest assured that corrective measures will be given to the staff to prevent this from happening again. I also sent you a private message discussing this further. We appreciate you choosing us for your lodging needs. I hope you'll come to visit us again and make things right this time. All the best, Jomar M. Case Manager IHGService
