I was here for business just for a couple of days - its a cute boutique hotel with good service, free Internet and a business center, and coffee all day. The rooms are tiny - but thats just NY. Its super close to a lot of nice bars and restaurants. Definitely would recommend for business travelers.

Believe the reviews. These are very small rooms. There is barely enough space to get around the beds. However, if you are looking for a nice and quiet spot with friendly staff, this is your place. The hotel has a chic lobby and ridiculously kind and warm staff. They all act sort-of like family. It's lovely. Although small and a... More

I guess it really depends on what you want in a room. It was fun to stay on the lower Eastside but I'm not sure it is for everyone. Cabrides to midtown are expensive and I found most subway rides required a connection. The room was extremely quiet; quiet than anywhere I've stayed in NYC! I knew the rooms were... More

We stayed here because I researched rooms all over Manhattan and found this one for a somewhat reasonable rate (comparative to other NYC options). I loved the rooftop and there a few places to grab groceries and drinks to take to the roof and enjoy. Their service was very friendly, but the rooms are extremely tiny. From my research that... The good: Fantastic location, friendly staff, awesome rooftop views, reasonable price. The less than good: The room, mostly. Felt dark and dusty, definitely showing some wear and tear. Was ok for 2 nights, but would probably shell out the extra 1-2 hundred or so per night and stay elsewhere in the neighborhood next time.

Location is great and you can easily access the rest of the city. The rooms were very small, maybe about 100 square feet total, but how often are you in your room? It was clean and you are two minutes from Katz's deli and near a decent amount of bars and such. I woudl stay again.

I have stayed at the Hotel East Houston many times over the past few years. My most recent stay was a few months ago. The service is wonderful, starting with the front desk. Thank you so much, Idris, Tim and Nadia (and the new guy) for your cheerful hellos and help with everything from directions to restaurant suggestions, etc. The... More

Overall was good, but very small and a little dark...and area so so. but for the money was a good deal for the night. Hotel was clean inside and I slept well and the hotel is in walking distance to a lot of areas. There is always construction around this area it seems but was not an issue, did not... More

Surprisingly quiet, this hotel is a great option when visiting NYC. Very clean rooms and well cared for hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Though no in room coffee, the coffee in the common area was excellent. Would stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Close to everything that I would need and easy to get to via subway. Staff was nice and helpful. It is near Kat's deli and other awesome restaurants at the LES and not long of a subway ride into midtown to other attractions. The room was comfy and cozy, it had everything that I... More
