Decent place to stay for 2 weeks. Overall rooms were clean and had fresh towels everyday of our 2 week stay for a fun trip in NYC with my sister! The only inconvenience was having the ice machine be one the even floors only as well as the noise when trying to sleep.
Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. The lobby is lovely and cool and smells nice. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Our room was really modern and spacious. The decoration was good and it was very clean with housekeeping coming in every day.. There was a fridge but no kettle. I already knew about this so brought a travel kettle with me. Complimentary tea and coffee was available on another floor for most of the day and some days there were also complimentary pastries. There isn’t a restaurant but meals could be ordered at an extra charge but we didn’t do this. There was plenty of places nearby to eat. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was good with probably the best shower I’ve ever had. We were on the 17th floor with a city view looking out over the iconic NY skyline. For us the location was perfect. We stayed in Times Square on our last visit but used to come over to the Lower East Side every day. The hotel is located in ChinaTown and also near to Little Italy. It was my husband’s birthday whilst we were there and a card and bottle of wine was left for him. A lovely gesture. There is a roof top bar serving drinks in the evening but we only used it once as it was very expensive. Nearly $38 for 2 vodkas and Coke!…
We loved this hotel. It was super clean, very comfortable bed , a quiet room and cool decor. I loved being close to Chinatown and Little Italy, lots of little shops and good eateries. What I loved especially was the friendly, helpful staff that went above and beyond what I would expect in NYC. I would definitely recommend staying here.
50 The Bowery is an ideal place to spend a few days in Newyork, it is in the middle of China Town and only 5 minutes walk from Little Italy, the staff at the hotel are very friendly and professional and make you feel very welcome
Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, hotel was more spacious than I'd expect from Manhattan, super clean and nice, friendly for traveling with a kid, and the roof top bar had absolutely stunning panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. Walkable to many Chinatown and Little Italy restaurants.
As always we did a lot of research before picking a hotel for our recent stay in Manhattan. We ended up going with Hotel 50 Bowery given the style, design, price and its rave reviews online. The hotel did not disappoint. Rooms were nice, trendy, clean. Staff was super friendly at check-in and overall we had a great stay, do not have anything bad to say about the hotel. The only downside is the immediate area (Chinatown), it's very busy, lots of smells from the shops and fish markets and so not the nicest little shops for coffee, brunch or dinner spots - you'll need to go a bit farther for that. But there were 2 subway stops a few blocks away.
We enjoyed our stay very much, check in was quick and easy. Location is great and the highly recommend the bakery next door. We have absolutely no 'status' and had a discounted rate but still received an acknowledgement of my husbands bday - split of red wine in the room and personalized card - comparable to what we would likely receive at Marriott (where we've had status for years). Really appreciated this thoughtful touch. The room decor was well designed, especially for a small room, and the bathroom felt spacious - a LOT of good views from this hotel. Really friendly staff. Only drawback for us was that the Living Room area deck was completely closed Friday evening, which was not mentioned to us when we asked about it but there was a sign in the elevator (that we didn't notice), we'd hoped to sit out there and enjoy delivery (very limited menu on rooftop and also we were not able to get a table, arrived around 6 which is too late for a Friday). Free coffee in the morning, nice set up. Overall highly recommend.…
This was my first stay at Hotel 50 Bowery and I did not know what to expect. A modern and industrial hotel with a spacious lobby, 2nd floor dining and living room to chill with morning coffee or ordering meals from their partner restaurant, Shanghai Joe's for delivery. Yum! The rooftop bar and terrace were gorgeous and I enjoyed a nice glass of wine with friends. As the weather is getting hotter, the rooftop terrace offer cool peaceful breezes. I had a king room and a nice view of the City. It wasn't too small; just typical NYC room size. Nice waterfall shower head. I'm Hyatt loyal and a Globlist, and this is by far the best hotel experience I've had is quite a while. I highly recommend this hotel in the center of Chinatown. Enjoy!
I ordered breakfast delivered to our hotel which included 3 very large pancakes, scrambled eggs and 3 turkey sausage links. No room for improvement. Scrambled eggs were plentiful, moist and flavorful, turkey sausage was excellent and my granddaughter said the pancakes were “super good”. I would definitely order again! I should have figured this out yesterday as this was a much better option than walking to a recommended bagel shop for breakfast which was lackluster and over-priced in comparison.
Valet and front desk staff were helpful and very personable. Ryan Fender sent an email welcoming us and made a reservation for us on the rooftop. He also remembered that we had made a reservation the week before by mistake and was happy to hear from us again. Overall, excellent experience at this hotel. I would highly recommend it.
