Join us for Joie de Vivre's New York debut, an all-new neighborhood gathering place in Chinatown. Our new boutique hotel is crowned with a rooftop terrace lounge overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. A springboard to some of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods, from here in the heart of Chinatown to the Lower East Side, Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy and Brooklyn. 50 Bowery is a boutique hotel that captures the energy of NYC, inspired by the cultural crossroads of our location on Manhattan's oldest street, where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. With this hotel's convenient location on Bowery near Canal Street and the Manhattan Bridge, getting anywhere in NYC will be a breeze. We celebrate the joy of life, where General Washington communed with his men at the Bull's Head Tavern, where actors once took the stage at the vibrant New York Theater, and where new Americans from Europe and Asia brought their optimism and ambition.

This is my second time staying at Hotel 50 Bowery. Both times were amazing and solo stays for business. The front desk staff is wonderful and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious for NYC hotels and the Living Room on the second floor is my favorite part of the hotel. Daily water, ice, coffee, tea, microwave, and newspapers! More than enough seating inside and a fantastic deck outside (and yoga on Sundays!). Both times I asked housekeeping for an additional flat sheet (I do this at every hotel I stay in) and they brought it to me heated! The rooftop bar is great! I've had the lobster rolls and drinks. Wonderful service. A short walk from the hotel is Baz Bagels! The best bagels ever. And finally, the hotel is quiet! This is tough for hotels in NYC, but somehow Hotel 50 Bowery facilitates a quiet stay for its guests. Not sure how they do it, but they do. I will continue to stay here every time I'm in NYC.

A great place to stay. Rooms were spotless and quiet. The front desk personnel were efficient and most helpful with recommendations for meals and places to go. The bellman remembered our jams for the entire stay. Don’t miss this place.

The front desk team were friendly and super helpful. We were trying to find a location nearby and they bent over backwards to help! We had an early morning flight so they offered to go coffee and water for the ride.

I had stayed at this hotel previously, but alone. This time was with my family so there were three of us. The room was very roomy even for three (and especially for a New York hotel). In addition, the 2nd floor living room is a great way to expand the living space, having coffee there in the morning, or eating lunch brought in from one of the great Chinatown restaurants. The living room also includes an extensive outdoor area and the weather cooperated (unlike my usual trips in January). Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. Close to subway stops and easy walking around the area.

Rarely do we find a hotel that lives up to all of our expectations and more! When we arrived Sonia greeted us at the front desk with such professionalism and enthusiasm. She and Allan were amazing! They were warm and helpful. They set the tone for our wonderful 2 night stay. The hotel's location is great - in the lively Bowery/Chinatown area, a terrific neighborhood to walk around. (We enjoyed the delicious Golden Diner for breakfast one morning.) The room was perfect - clean, well-appointed and comfortable. Our son just moved to New York, so we're so happy to have found our go-to hotel in the city! We can't wait to return!

Hotel in China town and close to Brooklyn bridge , in fact hotel is just outside the entrance to Manhattan bridge to Brooklyn . Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel charges you a destination fee USD30 but they offer you all day coffee n tea at level 2 and some discounts at some place which I don’t recall, not too exciting . Room was cosy , stayed at lvl 9, facing Manhattan bridge . Sheets a bit rough and instead of providing shower gel , they give you a bar of soap. I have stayed in a Hyatt JDV, in France at Bordeaux which gave full bath room amenities , not this one . Overall friendly service from staff .

This is our favorite hotel. We have staid here multiple times. The hotel is clean and the staff is the best. This trip we brought our son and he loved the design of the hotel and how easy it was to go to the restaurant to order. My husban loves the bar and rooftop area. I love how close the hotel is to subways and some of my fav restaurants. Also its so quit at night, you dont experience the nosey street or garbage trucks in Manhattan area. Highly recommend

Since we wanted to stay in or near Chinatown, the location was excellent. You're basically in the middle of Chinatown, walkable to Little Italy, walkable to Manhattan Bridge, plenty of good eating places without having to go out of the way. Staff was friendly & personable. I appreciate the little touches, like umbrella in the closet because it did rain one day we were there. Now the cons: I wish they had a in-room coffee maker instead of having to go downstairs first thing in the morning. The rooms were smaller than it looked in the website photos, but then this is NY after all. They charge "resort fee" just like many Vegas hotels, but I'm still not sure what is their definition of a "resort". I appreciate they let us have late checkout but they still charge a hefty $$$ for that. You do get a better deal if you're a World of Hyatt member, but even being a member didn't prevent us from being charged for the first night even though we were not there due to flight delays.

Great view, clean room and friendly staff. A descent quiet place within the crowded Chinatown. Worth staying here if you are craving nice food in the Chinatown, or want to visit wall st and world trade center in your trip. Would visit here again if I come to NYC in the future.
