#77 of 209 Specialty lodging in New York City
Remarkably located in the heart of Chelsea, Midtown Manhattan, within walking distance of Times Square, Penn Station, FIT, Madison Square Garden, High Line Park and Theater District. Our hostel-style individual pod-rooms are simple, cozy, and very clean. Although small in size they are centered around a spacious common breakfast area with free WiFi. Our crew is on-site 24/7 to make sure everybody is happy, peaceful and safe. Fresh, clean sheets, pillows towels and blankets are provided. This is a vegetarian place: no smoking, no alcohol, no meat/fish/egg products allowed. No spitting on the floor :) Bringing a pair of flip-flops to use in the shower would be a good idea. We use the profits from the guest rooms here to provide hot meal for homeless people on the streets of New York City. Our guests are welcome to personally help with the meal distribution - a wonderful way of experiencing the happiness of giving.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

It ain’t the Ritz, but for $80 a night, such a deal. If you just want a place to crash, without a lot of cash, you found your place. Small rooms. Clean. Shared bathroom. Really nice people with a heart.

It's important to read the review and understand what you are signing up for. I did and it was as expected. My dilemma was I didn't want to pay for a hotel and didn't want to share a room in a hostel with possible noisy roommates stumbling in at the middle of the night. This

Location is great. Near to metro which takes you to Airtrain stations, Times square, WTC. It is in center of NYC, near to shops, supermarket, bars, Empire State Building, etc. Was my first time booking for a capsule room, but terrible experience. In realty it is not a private

I twice tried booking a room here, several weeks before my travel date, using their web site. A confirmation came back from booking.com whom they presumably use as a reservation service. A day later, I got an email from booking.com saying my credit card was invalid (it wasn't.)

hi there we're sorry that you've had this experience trying to reserve our place... We had a problem with our online reservation system recently which might have been the cause of your reservation being bounced twice. The 'wrinkle' has been resolved - everything should be working ok now. We've been steadily receiving new bookings and phone calls from other guests, no problem. Please tell us how we can contact you to help you reserve a room here. Our phone umber is 917 362 61 30 or 917 675 7417, email: daso.smi108@gmail.com. We apologize once again for this inconvenience. You're right: it will be impossible for us to keep our mission going without people like you :) 'with gratitude alex

Needed a room for one night, right near Penn Station. Didn't want to share an open room with multiple people and this seemed like the best of both worlds: hostle price but safe lockable door. Felt totally comfortable leaving my things and the staff was super accommodating.
