This is an old bank converted to a hotel. Room was on 2nd floor up old but renovated stairwell, no elevator. Room was fine, neat, clean and comfy. It appears the historic nature led to restrictions when renovated. Being a retired Fie Chief, it lacked fire sprinkler protection, but had recent heat and smoke detectors installed. I have been in...

My boyfriend and I had just done an overnight hike to McKittrick Canyon and were looking for a good meal and a restful nights sleep. We found them both at The Trinity. The staff was friendly and helpful. We participate in the wine tasting and enjoyed a wonderful meal. We ordered the ribeye and the lasagna and both were great....

Lovely Room and great restaurant. Even though it was on the main street through town, we had no noise (recommend a back room to be sure). Got back late from watching the bats coming out of the cavern and had a wonderful dinner. Breakfast was good.

As noted in the other reviews, this is an interesting B&B style hotel with a great restaurant. Unfortunately if you are there on a Sunday there is no one on duty (but a procedure to get your room) and the restaurant is closed. The complimentary wine tasting is also not held since there is no one on duty. The neighborhood...

We agree with most comments of reviewers that this is a unique, charming B&B, with outstanding service, and an extremely friendly staff .All other hotels in Carlsbad are chains, but there are several new ones on the road to the caverns that look nice. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon, when the office was closed. Following the owner's instructions,...

We notice that you have given us a second review for the same visit and while we appreciate your comments we are not sure a second review is necessary. Your personal page also contains a screen shot of the hotels private access code which is a safety concern for customers and staff alike we respectfully ask that you remove it...

This place was a real find. We stayed for a couple of nights and ended up eating in the restaurant both nights as it was so good the first night. Our room was fabulous, and felt just a bit indulgent, which was perfect after a long drive from San Antonio. The welcome was lovely, and once we had dropped our...

We spent three nights at this beautiful, old hotel. The building was originally a bank that has been renovated in the last decade. The rooms as lovely and spacious; the baths are well-appointed. My husband and I spent time exploring the surrounding area: Carlsbad Caverns NP and hiking in the Guadalupe Mountains NP. Each night we felt like we were...

Access to the hotel is via the back stairway. With a Sunday arrival, there will be no one to greet you. Rather you will have to pay close attention to your confirmation email that will give you the access code to the back stairway entrance. Yes, you will have to climb stairs. The room I had was very good sized...

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay.It is true that we have limited hours on Sundays but we are able to accommodate meeting customers if necessary. Due to our historic designation, both State and Federal we are obliged to keep the building as it was in the 1800s .....unfortunately there were no elevators. . Every...

Our family appreciated this unique hotel as a historical property with modern comforts and thoughtful touches. The owners are genuinely nice and renovated the property with great taste. The Trinity Hotel's restaurant deserves to be ranked #1 in Carlsbad. High quality food and excellent service. Their pancakes were the best we've ever had with real maple syrup. This hotel sure...
