First off, I am very particular about the places I stay. I like to get my moneys worth and I expect high quality at a reasonable rate. This place had that plus so much more. They really do treat you like family. They personalize your stay and call you by name whenever they speak to you. I thought those days were way gone or only seen in movies. If I needed anything, they bent over backwards to help. On our way back from the pool, they overheard my son wanting some of the powered doughnuts they had at breakfast. The owner, said no worry and went to get him a pack. Most places would have never done this.

In addition to that, it was my friend's son's birthday. They allowed us to roast marshmallows at the fireplace outside. Once they saw us headed to the fire pit area with our supplies, they made sure that the area was cleaned off and the fire was ready. The other nights we were there they made sure the outside area was cleaned off and the pool area had plenty of clean and dry towels. Most hotels in my opinion lack the little touches that make a stay so much more enjoyable.

Then what floored me even more was how dog friendly the place was. I would have never guessed it. They made sure that even the furry friends felt welcomed. Finally, with Covid, they made this as normal an experience as possible. Not once did I feel that they were not following all the rules to keep us safe.

Overall, I would give this place 6 stars out of 5 if I could. It was awesome. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone.

Stayed one night on a medical trip. When we arrived, Taylor at the front desk welcomed us and already had our keys in an envelope marked Welcome Mr _____ studio 323. When we arrived in the room there was a welcome letter on the bed with our name and mints. The ambiance was much like a true mountain lodge. Central fireplace with living room seating on one side and dining on the other. The room was fresh, quality and also had the best tub/shower that we have found in any place we have stayed in years! It truly was a pleasure staying here. We heard no real road noise, slept well in their beds and when we awoke there was a thank you for staying letter under our door instead of the traditional bill copy. Breakfast was free with room and was typical of most hotel breakfasts. Left here with a smi;e and a "we'll be back here for sure" Rooms were very clean and we wish to thank Taylor again, her friendly personality and love of her job will bring repeat customers which is surely a major asset for the Lodge.

We appreciate your great review! And Ms. Taylor is still here and as wonderful as ever. I will be sure to let her know of your kind words. We do try our best to keep our rooms and the hotel in general in good shape, with fresh paint, new tile work, and constant updates. We recently added a large deck with a stone fireplace outside in our courtyard area, with large comfy chairs and couches. Which is a perfect place to relax in the evenings by the fire with the waterfall in the back ground....you'll have to come back and check it out. Stay Safe and we do hope you'll visit again soon.

This lodge is simply wonderful! Everything we experienced was perfect, from the friendly check-in, the amazingly clean & furnished room, room price, breakfast. We so appreciated being able to bring our dogs, and the huge field out front was great for our morning walk. We were in a King Suite, and the kitchen seemed nicely equipped. I didn't cook anything this time, but next visit I'll probably utilize it more.
The extra touches that are made were noticed...I loved the personal notes and evening mints on the bed pillow. The nice upgrades on stuff like the lamps, faucets, granite, even the artsy toilet flusher handle! And what a neat thrill to see the Lodge logo embossed on the toilet paper!!! The bed was super comfortable, and the linens very plush. The main lobby is so attractive, and even though it was only Nov. 12, they had beautifully decorated for Christmas! After all the terribleness of 2020, I really liked seeing early holiday cheer. I had read positive reviews prior to our visit, so I had high expectations which were actually exceeded. The only things I suggested to the hotel is having paper towels in the kitchen area (my dogs made a wet mess when they slurped their water) and a "grab bar" or two in the bathtub. I'm not elderly or disabled, but I still like to have a little something to hold on to as I get in and out of the tub.

Thank you so much Barbara for taking the time to write such a great review! We appreciate you choosing us for your stay. I am so glad you came to visit when we had just gotten our Christmas tree up with all the lights outside! We love Christmas here, and completely agree that this year we especially need the extra cheer. When you come back to stay with us, we do have rolls of paper towels available at front desk if you would like one for the puppies! Thank you again for coming to visit us. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season with your family.....and we look forward to see all of you again soon. Safe travels.

Checked in for (2) nights, as my son was getting married this weekend in Hendersonville, NC. First of all, I loved the personal touches that they offer: Handwritten welcome note on room keys, the fact that they made our Black Lab Cody feel like a celebrity, and there were chocolates and welcome letter set out in our room!
Now, for the room and overall hotel experience: The parking lot is spacious, and well-lit. Plenty of carts to bring your suitcases in. Elevator is quick and easy, and actually smells good. Breakfast is individually-wrapped, and offers a great selection of items. The lobby is warm, inviting, and a great space to relax and read the morning paper.
We opened the door to our room, and I stood in the doorway in awe! it was more than I could have imagined. It was spotlessly clean. ( I am super tough about this) There was a small kitchen area, large TV for spouse, and the bathroom was well-stocked with thirsty towels and personal products. The closet had ample space to store wedding clothing, and offered an iron and ironing board. The bed was INCREDIBLE! Good quality bed linens, and fluffy pillows. I got a great night's sleep, and even slept in, which is pretty rare for me. My husband and I rarely travel, so I am not an expert traveler. But..... I am very picky and extremely tough with praise. Would stay here again without hesitation. I can only imagine the hard work and attention to detail that it takes to run and manage this hotel. I appreciate the fact that they put in the work to earn this reputation of excellence! Well done, really well done. Lucy and Tim Rowley Monroe, MI.

The staff were super friendly - our key packets had our names on them and there was a lovely welcome letter with mints in our room. The lobby was warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious. I didn't realize it was an interstate hotel and thought that we were going to have mountain views. The "waterfall" is a man made waterfall in the back yard of the property. They also allow dogs and there was a decent amount of barking and, though it was irritating, it only happened a few times. The indoor pool is nice. The breakfast was fresh and the gentleman serving/replenishing was friendly and attentive. Our room overlooked a roof in the backyard (maybe the pool house) and was a little disappointing, but other than that, we were thoroughly pleased.

My wife and I travel to the Flat Rock / Hendersonville twice a year to explore the beauty of the area. We have stayed in multiple hotels. Some have been nice, others not so much.

We recently stayed at the Lodge at Flat Rock and we will never stay anywhere else again. From the moment you walk in the front doors, you are greeted by an incredibly pleasant staff. They are very knowledgeable of the area and can offer you suggestions of where to go, things to see and great places to eat.

During this trip we stayed in a King suite for a few days and then extended our stay and moved to room with two large full sized beds. The rooms were well appointed with everything you need and more. They had a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator, stove and oven. One of our neighbors even baked cookies one day. How cool is that? Both beds were very comfortable and everything in the room looked and smelled CLEAN.

The room included breakfast each morning which consisted of both hot and cold options that changed daily. During our stay there were individually wrapped breakfast burritos and pancake wrapped sausages one day and fresh eggs and sausage links (individually wrapped) another day. There was always a bountiful assortment of bagels, breads, cereals, donuts, granola bars, packets of grits, yogurt and fresh fruit to name only a few.

This place in BY FAR the happiest and best place to stay in the area. After being there for a few days, the friendly staff even says "welcome home" when to you return from the days adventure.

FIVE plus stars!!!

hands down, this hotel puts the two hilton properties we stayed at (from one end of state to other) to shame; they should get up and take notice. From the moment of arrival until departure this hotel has appreciation, professionalism, and cleanliness to a t. From the indoor pool, hot breakfast, and amazing outdoor patio area. Who couldn't resist sitting outside an amazing firepit and blazing "Real" fire in a fireplace. And on really comfortable seating. They even offer blankets on cold nights. The owner is visible from the moment you arrive until leaving and makes a special effort to get to know his guests and make them feel appreciated. As far as cleanliness, no being asked to put your trash and towels on the floor in the hall like hilton, the place is immaculate. Kitchen in the room with a full size refrigerator. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy your stay this is it; We have stayed here several times and are looking forward to a return visit

I can not tell you how much this review touched my heart. Thank you isn't enough. We truly appreciate you and your family coming to see us, and returning back! We try our hardest to make everyone feel at home, but we of course we are not perfect. So thank you again. I am so glad to see you enjoyed your stay and got to enjoy the new deck as well! It's the perfect place to sit by the fire when it's chilly out. We will see you again on your next visit...but until then, we wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday season. Thank you again! We are IHG loyalty members so we are definitely used to a certain standard. However, this trip we couldn't find a pet sitter for our 2 labs so they had to come with us. We called a minimum of 5 hotels in the area and if they accepted pets they had a fee. My husband called and spoke with someone and they told us they had a last minute cancelation and we could bring our girls!! They had a welcome letter on our bed upon arrival and we were greeted with smiles!! The room was great for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) plus the 2 big dogs. The indoor pool was open which was great to burn some energy, they have a courtyard with a fire pit, a little nature trail and a great open area for the dogs to play/potty. The breakfast was so good compared to a recent stay somewhere else and again nothing but smiles! My kids loved everything about this hotel as did we. Also, I felt completely safe (in terms of Covid which is another topic for another day). Give this place a try! We were addressed by our last name upon arrival and departure. That speaks volumes of the level of customer service.

What a great review Courtney. Thank you so much for that. We love meeting guests pups when they come to visit us. We are all dog lovers here at The Lodge, and we like to know their names too, so we can greet them as well. We always accept pets with no fees, so if you are ever in our area again please feel free to bring your fur-babies back for another visit. Stay Safe, and have a merry Christmas!

We loved this place. The staff is SO friendly and nice. We were greeted as old friends and by the time we were done checking in, we felt like old friends! Our room was lovely and had everything we needed to make a light meal or reheat leftovers (utensils, microwave, frying pan, plates, bowls, etc). We took full advantage of (and really enjoyed!) the indoor pool and the outdoor deck. And we were impressed with breakfast - even though everything needed to be individually packaged and wrapped (Covid..._) - it was still satisfying and delicious. There is so much to do in the area and the location is great. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to extend an extra night. We're definitely already planning our next stay.

I booked this hotel on a last minute stay in Hendersonville to visit my grandparents. We got lucky with this one for sure! We are traveling with a dog and she was free to stay here, so this was my first choice. Upon entering, we were welcomed into a gorgeous lobby with music and instant comfort. The woman that greeted us at the front was super friendly and welcomed us home. The room was spacious, allowed for an air mattress, and had an entire kitchen! On one of the beds was a personalized note welcoming us, alongside chocolates! They had a nature trail, which we took with my visiting grandparents, and a pool and fitness center that appealed to our teenage companion. All dogs were behaved and on a leash, and my own pup was very happy to smell allllll the smells! The friendly staff helped us blow up our air mattress by providing a pump, and were always there to answer any questions! When we are in the area again we will definitely stay here!
