Barely a bump in the road. The town has nothing, no services, restaurants, few residents, but it does have a cool volcano. Back to the RV park. Nice people, nice bathrooms, level sites, full hook-ups great place for an overnight stop and visit to the volcano.

We stopped at Capulin RV Park for one night. It had just rained, which concerned us as we are tent campers, but there was good drainage at the park. The restrooms were incredibly clean, and even tiled, which is a huge plus. There was also a sense of security since you had to have a code to go into them.... More

We have been stopping here on our way from Texas to Colorado since they first opened (12 years ago), and we have enjoyed watching the family grow and be incorporated into the care of the place. Delightful people, SPOTLESSLY clean and level sites, pristine shower/bathroom facilities and easy in-out for our 34 foot fifth wheel. Small general store across the... More

We stopped here for a night on the way back to Texas from Colorado. The owners are super nice and accommodating and the park was very clean and quiet. The bathrooms are also very nice and clean. We will make this our place to stop on the way to and from Texas and Colorado! It's a real gem in the... More

I took a motorcycle trip here to enjoy a quiet weekend of tent camping, do some hiking and escape the Kansas heat. Capulin is at 6800 feet which made for warm days and cool evenings. The RV park was very quiet and clean. The campground bathrooms were immaculate! I had a good WiFi signal in my tent camping spot. The... More

This RV park is the perfect resting spot. The owners, The Hall Family, are such sweet Christian people and very friendly. They make you feel at home here at their home. The park is simple & spotlessly clean. The bathhouses are very nice and there are laundry facilities as well. Be sure to see the Capulin Volcano, wear your tennis... More

Camp sites clean and very friendly family running facility!! 👍🏼👍🏼 My son played ball with owner's son...very nice kid. The view of sunrise was beautiful! Peaceful place. Excellent overnight stop between Northern Colorado and Dallas area for us!

We have always passed by this RV park and never had the time to see the volcano because we were always in such a rush to get to Colorado. This time we stopped and were not disappointed! Nice quaint little rv park run by a nice family. Thank you for your hospitality while we visited the volcano. Another item checked... More

Cozy park with super-nice proprietor and a lovely view of Caulin Volcano National Monument. Centrally located between Amarillo and Raton. The cleanest restroom/shower room I've ever seen. I will return.

Positives: easily accessible, nice bathroom. Negatives: Charged for two bikes to tent camp, no camp fires allowed, bright billboard sign lights up the whole area, cats all over the place. Better to travel a bit further in any direction.
