Hands down best place in town. We stayed in a 2 bedroom queen cabin. Easy access to Capitol Reef and the scenic byway towards Bryce. The cabin was very clean! Views from the cabins are outstanding. I would for sure recommend one of the cabins - options to choose from. We will be back! Convenient having the Pioneer Kitchen on site (great food!) and the The Patio across the street. Not one complaint and pleasantly surprised!

My wife and I needed a place to spend the night as we were traveling through Utah visiting national parks. One of them, Capitol Reef National Park, is in Torrey, literally up the road from Capitol Reef Resort. It was a long ride through the mountains to get to Torrey; but once we made it, we found a very welcome respite. I didn’t expect it to be a drive up to your room experience like a motel, but we didn’t find the room to be like a motel at all. We instead found it to be surprisingly clean and pleasant. They also have a very nice restaurant that we could walk to from across the parking lot. The food and service was excellent. Overall, for anyone who plans to be in Torrey to visit the park, or for any reason, this is the place to stay for a home cooked meal and a good nights sleep, in a town surrounded by beautiful mountains. And all of it at a very reasonable price!

My 12-year old son and I stayed for two nights to explore Capitol Reef. We stayed in the main hotel which is very motel-like, nothing special. We had a great view of the mountains. I would strongly suggest staying in a cabin, wagon, or teepee. The food is fine, nothing special. There aren't too many options in the area. The restaurant seems to be taking many covid precautions but the hotel check-in area is inconsistent with masks. We did a 2-hour horseback ride. The guide was really good. However, it was more like a 1.5 hour ride by the time we got on the horses and came back 15 minutes early.

We stayed two nights while hiking and sightseeing in Capitol Reef National Park and surrounding areas. Our room was nice, but I was expecting it to be nicer based on the photos on the resort's website. The room was large, but the bathroom was rather small. All staff we interacted with wore masks and were pleasant and helpful. The overall experience was good.

Loved everything about this resort with the exception of the extremely small bathroom. Other than that the rooms (we had the king suite) were awesome. The resort was super close to Capitol Reef and it was so nice having a decent restaurant right on site. We so enjoyed the great restaurant staff - Len and Shaun at dinner and other family members at breakfast. The food was very good with a decent selection of food items including vegetarian and GF. I wouldn’t say the deck out our room was anything special but it was still nice to have and the view was nice but you had to look beyond the teepees and Conestoga wagons. I would definitely stay there again.
