We stayed at this hotel on our way to the Outer Banks for a Family Week at the Beach. We chose this hotel because it was close to Fort Raleigh National Historic Site. We went to the performance of "The Lost Colony and enjoyed it very much. We also toured the Elizabethan Gardens and the Aquarium. This hotel is centrally... More

We stayed here in May for a few days and came back in July for a few days. We liked our first stay better. not the cleanest place, a little run down, staff was great and service was as well. We ask for our first room it was booked ask for a room near by and they put us in... More

The Elizabethan name is apt as it reminded me of places I've stayed in England. There, "shabby chic", i.e. worn, seems to be the norm and that's the deal here. It's pricey as alternatives are few so unless you want to drive from off island you'll pay for convenience.

We visited Manteo on a late June Saturday so we were always going to pay "through the nose" for accommodation, but at over $200 (inc tax) I expect better especially as no breakfast was included. The rooms were spacious but extremely tired and in desperate need of a refurb. Reminded me of some older Super 8 we have stayed in.... More

Very nice people but the rooms were very dated as was the rest of the facility. Peeling pain, old fashioned air/heat with very musty smell and loud. I wish I could say nicer things because the staff was very nice. But this is a very old place and for $159 a night I expected more.

We live in Manteo but we're moving this weekend so we had to stay in a hotel. Elizabethan inn is a really nice hotel with very friendly staff. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The only two downfalls were the smell of the room and the check out. Our room smelled so moldy that it was... More

The young gentleman at the front desk, around his 20's, was exceptionally impolite. Appeared like he had a extremely terrible day and took pleasure in making the customers day dreadful as well. He was that discourteous, if it was earlier I would have said forget this facility and went to another hotel. He didn't care for the guests. We made... More

I've been staying at this hotel for years but was disappointed at this last visit. The location is great, midway between Fort Raleigh and downtown Manteo, and the staff is nice - but my room wasn't anything special, the bathroom, small ( and I didn't care for the provided soap at all or the noisy fan) , and my little... Rather impressed by the renovations made to this older motel! Very nice for a budget friendly location. Only negative was with those in nearby rooms (motorcycle bunch) who collected outside and laughed and joked loudly to midnight and beyond. My young children really needed their rest. Motel needs a way to limit such behavior. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
