My husband and I loved our stay at the Roanoke Inn.Dee the innkeeper makes you feel at home immediately.Dee goes the extra mile to make your visit as pleasant as possible. We enjoyed the gardens, koi pond and the bicycle rides through the neighborhood..also the walks along the pier and lighthouse. This was our first stay at the Inn but will... More

I have stayed at the Roanoke Island Inn on 4 different occasions, and will return at every opportunity. The Inn is historic and beautiful, as is the town of Manteo - quaint shops, restaurants and the harbor are only steps away from the Inn. The accommodations at the Inn are outstanding, and the staff are friendly and helpful in every... More

We stayed here while in Manteo for a funeral. Our family members came in from all over NC and it was wonderful to be able to gather in the lobby area and visit. The rooms are very comfortable and the place is spotless, but what made it extra nice was Dee, the innkeeper. She went above and beyond to make... More

Loved the welcome we received...Inn is lovely in great setting. Gathering space and pantry are two really nice features of this Inn. Bed was really comfy but room was a little small (especially bathroom). Overall, though, we loved it and would visit again.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by returning to The Roanoke Island Inn. This is a very special place for us and we highly recommend it. The Inn overlooks the beautiful Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse and Manteo's picture-perfect Waterfront where one can stroll along the boardwalk to shops, restaurants, charter boats and more. The quaintness and friendliness is very evident... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay at the Roanoke Island Inn. It's elegant, charming, quaint, full of character, and unassuming - all at the same time! Dee, our host, was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. She has a wealth of information about the island and the OBX. We enjoyed chatting with her and appreciated... More

I have to say that I'll ever stay in a hotel again in the OBX! This was my first time staying here and Dee made it an even better visit! The facilities were perfect for us! Not to mention all of the nearby attractions. We will be back. Thank you Roanoke Island Inn for an amazing long weekend!

Landed in the Outer Banks, NC yesterday reaching my bucket list destination after 34 days of family circus adventures. Totally lucked out in finding rooms available in this gem of a location. The innkeeper, Dee, is perfection. She has so much island knowledge and is the model of hospitality. The rooms are spacious and decorated in period style. The garden... More

Although this inn isn't a beach location, it's a great spot on the Manteo harbor, one-minute walk to downtown, with the most amazing private and well-tended interior garden we've ever seen. Worth it to stay there for just that reason. Room wasn't elegant like some B&Bs but very clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The buildings and... More

Manteo is a pretty quiet place to begin with, but the Inn is even quieter, just a few blocks away from 'downtown', an easy & enjoyable walking distance, but still right on the water. The staff was as warm & welcoming as could be, offering us recommendations on what to see & do, where to eat, etc. We enjoyed borrowing... More
