Absolutely beautiful hotel with great views, fire pits on the beach and fabulous restaurant! The staff was very accommodating and we loved the pools and fitness center. They also have a nice spa and cabanas. Beautiful resort.
The room was nicely decorated and very clean. It was in a newly constructed building with hardwood floors, no carpeting, which I like. The balcony was nice size and it looked over the boats and towards Pt Loma.

San Diego is usually petty temperate year round so like mid 70's in September which should be more than sufficient (it was around 75-77 when we were there and because the sun was so bright it felt much hotter).
