Chose Kona Kai Resort for our milestone anniversary, because of a friend. Let me tell you…. Joseph, Angie & Enrique exemplify service elevation. Right off the back, they knew what to say, did what they have to do and executed for perfection. Bianca, took it to a whole new level of excellence with a handwritten card and amenity. Housekeeping, Maribel, took care of us all three days we stayed at Kona Kai! The restaurant (Vessel), Harley & Bailey were an absolute radiance. I can’t thank you enough Kona Kai for everything you do. Especially with the challenges of staffing. I have so much empathy for all of you but PRAISE all your efforts. I witnessed, Joseph dealing with a difficult guest at check out. I can’t help but empathize enough for him and his team for taking the beating and then keep a HIGH ENERGY level of professionalism for the rest of us. I hope this review reaches all those who expect the unexpected to be fixed in an instant! Please be patient! Beautiful resort. The staff was very friendly. The grounds were well maintained. We had a great vacation. Loved the fire place seating in the lobby. We met some friendly and welcoming members in the hot tub who gave us ideas for local adventures!

This resort is beautiful and in a great location, a short drive from the airport and many scenic and fun attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has two outdoor pools and hot tubs (both pools heated). Nice restaurant and a small market if you want to keep some foodstuffs in your room.

Resort is nice rooms are not great worn and need upkeep Pool can use some TLC and more cleaning through the day Some kid pooped in the family pool we told a staff member no one seemed to know what to do and did not ask guests to get out of the pool

Sweet staff all needs were met will be returning for a longer stay next time I hope to take advantage of the jet skis and the spa. It was a nice weekend getaway and I didn’t have to travel far to get downtown

We had a wonderful time at Kona Kai resort. A quick staycation for us locals, who just needed a relaxing weekend away. My husband and I enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, indoor & pool bars, and the gift shop was fantastic!! The inviting front lobby had a nice fire going in the fireplace as well. The nighttime beach fire pits were our favorite…. A perfect couples get away! My grandfather knew the original owners too!! Fun fact… Ps- make sure you get the big bathtub 🛁

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing that would have made the stay even more enjoyable would have been complimentary fitness classes/activities (such as yoga or Pilates for example). Overall, I was happy with the stay.

I’ve been coming here for years for conferences and now that I’m retired decided to come for a short stay. The hotel is lovely and there’s lots to do in the area. You really do feel like you are at a Spa and resort. ☺️ My only complaint was that there was a wedding going on the two nights we were here and the front desk gave us a room right next door to the bridal ready room. People were coming and going at all hours of the day and night and were extremely loud- up until 3:00 am both nights. I understand that they were young and just excited and having a good time but the hotel wasn’t full so a room farther away would have been appreciated.

Beautiful room. Excellent location. We really enjoyed the fire pits. We even enjoyed the score kits that were available, although slightly overpriced. However, we did not enjoy the cost of daily parking and fees on top of all of the costs for the hotel. Also, housekeeping did a wonderful job each day cleaning our room. However, they kept forgetting to replace key items but our coffee cups and coffee pods. It was no fun waiting up until 11:00 at night. One night to get them so we didn't have to wait that long in the morning. Only to wake up the next day and find out they only provided us decaf and we still had to wait to get more pods. We also had to call down for toilet paper. So although the cleaning was exceptional, some of the replacement or lack of replacement of necessary products was not great. However, overall we loved the hotel, the amenities, and the dining was excellent.…
