The hotel is drop dead stunning and the location is top notch. As a guest though, one can't reach reception. I called the front desk on two separate occasions to let them know about an issue in the room and to no avail. On both attempts, no one answered the phone. When I was leaving the room for the day,...

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW

The last time we visited The US Grant, it was tired and disappointing. Completely the opposite experience this past weekend. Upon arrival, we were greeted by charming, friendly doormen who directed us to the front desk which was just past the newly renovated lobby. Stunning. Crystal chandeliers, plush furnishings...very opulent. At the desk, Paolo helped us check in. Attentive, courteous,...

Housed in a lovely historic building in downtown San Diego and close enough to the Convention Center and Little Italy and lots of great restaurants ! The front desk staff and the valet were very helpful and friendly. The room was a bit small for 2 queen beds but had all the amenities and was well appointed. Great bathroom as...

This hotel is very elegant and the service is great, The Grant Grill's food was excellent. The one take away was the noise. There is a lot of street noise from foot traffic and cars because of the clubs and restaurants located nearby but also from police and ambulance sirens--there must have been 5 or 6 on the Saturday night...

This is an amazing hotel. It is located between 4th and 5th Avenues, downtown san diego. It is ahistorical building that has been restored to a very modern hotel. The room was great, bed and pillows comfy. The gym is excellent. The restaurant is of high standards. The service in all areas is excellent. I would stay in it if...

From check-in to check-out, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Every staff member we encountered during our stay provided the utmost customer service! Our room was very spacious and so comfortable (caveat: keep in mind, this hotel is in The Gaslamp of Downtown San Diego, so there is noise, albeit muted through the closed windows, all night long). We...

Been away from TA for a while, but feel I need to write a review on the property The Bad: Traveled from NY to LA, drove down with friends to SD for the weekend. Booked through Visa, the front desk associate didn't acknowledge that, nor did he mention our benefit, not after I brought it up. Then that evening, the...

Thank you Haoyu for sharing your experience with us. Our front office team did acknowledge the shortcomings you described and we do apologize for that disappointment. It certainly didn't reflect well on our high standards and we will work on correcting that. We do appreciate your positive note on the room decor design and the food and beverage team performance!...

Enjoyed our stay at the US Grant, San Diego for three reasons: value, location and staff friendliness. The value was fantastic considering all the amenities you receive when you book through American Express fine hotels. Location was perfectly centered for walking access to the harbor sights then the Gaslamp District sights and sounds are right next door when you don't...
