Our extended family stayed here while in San Diego for a wedding. The service at the hotel was amazing. Every staff person was helpful, friendly and professional. Our room was clean, comfortable, bright and welcoming. This hotel provides daily housekeeping, so we never had to go looking for towels or supplies. I really appreciated the attention to detail. We had good breakfasts in the restaurant and enjoyed a night in the bar. The hotel is very close to the airport and has a shuttle. The shuttle driver was as helpful as the rest of the staff. Tom Ham's Lighthouse is a quarter mile easy walkaway. It's a good restaurant for lunch and dinner and has a nice bar. I would recommend this hotel to couples, singles, and families. One of our group travelled with small children and made good use of the pool. …
This hotel stay was great. The front check in counter person was efficient and courteous. The room was a standard king size bed. But the kicker was the restaurant. I have NEVER seen team work like this. The hostess Karla sat me promptly. I sat is Nea's section, but she was in the back, so MM came and took my oder within a minute or so, about a minute later Nea came and brought me coffee. I wasn't even down to a half cup and I was already being asked if I wanted more. Everytime MM would pass, you would check on me. I finished my last bite, and with a minute Hector came by and took my plate and asked if I wanted a coffee to go. This team work was awesome to see and experience. The lady that was in front of me asked to be sat in MM's section and now I see why. I also want to give a shout out to the shuttle driver. Everytime we were in the lobby he would approach and ask if we needed assistance. He looked up address of stores we were looking for and we grabbed an uber. Amazing service from this hotel staff all around. You will not be disappointed!…
Stayed here overnight on my way back to Boston because it was close to the San Diego airport. Staff was very friendly, room was clean, and hotel was quiet. Refrigerator in room and nice little balcony (although the weather was too cool). Free shuttle to airport as well.
We were upgraded since we were Lifetime Diamond and I believe got the best room and the best view of the bay and it was magnificent at Night with the city lit up .Great Front office staff especially Camille. This is our tenth stay and each time gets better.
Beautiful location with amazing views. Very friendly and homey. Close to wedding venue and tourist attractions. Family said it was awesome! Hilton Honors app and Reservation system and digital keys work great!
Diamond member and stated one night between flights -- hotel is a good airport hotel and front desk staff was very accommodating and had my room ready upon arrival. As a Diamond member they offer a food/beverage credit for the Diamond Members so I had some food in the bar during Happy Hour. Rooms were in good shape with bathrooms being quite small for a Hilton property. There is noise from above (those reviews are true) if you are not on the top floors -- I had a 7th floor room. So if you can get on the Top Floor the noise will be removed. Wi-Fi was fast and a/c was ok as it seemed to have issues staying on for a time; but since I was there less than 24-hours I didn't worry about it. Staff at the bar was super and food was good -- wine not so much and quite nasty (Happy Hour selection) and beer good and cold. Hotel offers a shuttle to the airport in the morning and leaves exactly at 4:30am. Overall a solid airport hotel but having stayed at most of the Hilton properties in San Diego will go there if needing more than a day stay. But for a night, and an early flight not a bad choice. Note: TSA Opens at 4am and Clear opens at 4:30am -- a Lyft ride to the airport in the morning was $16 and a Lyft (during peak hours) ride to the hotel around 2pm was $51.…
I needed one night at a hotel that was guaranteed to have a 4:30 AM shuttle to the airport after a canceled flight after a stay 30 minutes north of the airport. Hilton went far beyond that, providing me an upgraded room with balcony seating and view of the harbor. The room was quiet and very comfortable, dinner was great and the 4:15 AM shuttle ride was perfect.
one of the best vacation of my life . Was there to stay for my anniversary. Had a wonderful stay . Every one was great. Looking forward to coming back. The staff was so helpful for all your needs. They treated me as if I was PART OF THEIR FAMIY.
We booked this hotel prior to a cruise and parked there for 11 nights. It’s an easy $10 Uber ride to the ship terminal. The hotel itself is terrific. Everything appeared to be in new condition. We enjoyed walking the grounds which are park-like and also sitting on our little patio. I read the negative reviews prior to our stay and was not expecting the hotel to be a nice as it was. This is a beautifully run, first class hotel in a wonderful location.
A harbour view may be the best view for many. If you book a room facing the harbour you get a room overlooking North San Diego bay and Coronado Island in the background. The good thing, the room has a balcony and thats already the good parts. Other then that There are better middle class Hilton brands such as Hampton or Garden Inn. But the most annoying part was the lack of isolation. You could hear every noise from rooms around you. Forgot about silent nights. And btw, the Airport noise was no issue at all. Hardly could hear aircrafts taking off. It is the noise of the neighbouring rooms that is so annoying. And I think US$ 25.00 for a 24hrs parking is a ripp off. I will look for other options next time.
