Lovely triangle-shaped hotel with signature concave sides and ornate architecture, reminiscent (to me, at least) of Chicago's Marina Towers and affording fantastic views of the North San Diego Bay, the marinas, the naval base and downtown. Lovely sunrises and sunsets.
Very nice stay. To start with the location: walking distance to the airport (and they offer free shuttle). If you rented a car (which I recommend for San Diego) then you are good. 10-15 min drive to Balboa Park, Little Italy, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter and about 20-25 min drive…

"Top floor with harbor view"
"stay away near vending/ice machine and elevators"
"Ask for a view of the water or of an outdoor garden. If you are very tall, ask if there is a room without a dropped ceiling in the entryway."
"Well-located for early morning flight out !"
"Top floor, right in the middle, overlooking the harbor."
