What a great place to stay. I don’t think photos do it justice. Our room was great. Very clean a so spacious. Lizzy at the front desk took great care of us, along with Beatriz the manager and Paul and George at the valet. Great bang for buck and a perfect spot to enjoy San Diego! We will be back.

Very unique, clean hotel. Except for 1 person, the staff needs a bit of help. Realized I'd locked myself out of my room after a really long, lousy day. That led me to transposing 2 numbers and getting a replacement key for the wrong room. (Boy, was THAT guy surprised!) Back at the front desk, I was asked "Do you even KNOW what room you're in?" He'd have known if he'd bothered to look at the ID I offered to confirm my identify. He proceeded with a small lecture on how the hotel is short-handed. (Never the guest's fault, honey) Now for the shining star - ROB W!! I needed an iron and called housekeeping. While waiting, Rob W (maintenance/housekeeping) happened by and offered to get it for me. And he SMILED! That one, single interaction changed the direction of my day and really made it so much better. I get to this hotel several times a year and you can bet I'll be looking for Rob W of maintenance/housekeeping.

This past week was my second attempt to stay at this hotel in a month. The first time I stayed there I noticed that there are some flies in the room like fruit flies and lots of ants. Called the reception and the guy answering the phone was surprised when I said ants also. He told me that all their rooms with balcony have the flies problem. By the way all rooms have balcony. Make a long story short, they put me in a room on 15th floor with new windows and the problem was solved. I booked the hotel again because of the location and I knew what to ask at the reception. Unfortunately, the only non-infested rooms are on the 15th floor and they were renovating the floor. The receptionist was very nice and tried hard but no non-infested rooms were available so I had to go and stay at the Hilton. They get the second star due to their location. If you are thinking of staying there, just call them. I bet you that they have to admit their insect problem and then you can decide.
