I was in town for a wedding and had only booked one night, but called up the day before and they were able to book me in for an extra night on the fly. They then let us check in early as well. We had a beautiful room, had delicious breakfast and enjoyed the classic bar. The front desk staff...

I stayed here while in San Diego for my HS reunion a few weekends ago. Keep in mind it is an old and historic hotel, so the rooms are not large. However, my room had a flat screen TV, fireplace, balcony, free wi-fi and a king size bed. The room was fairly priced considering it is in the heart of...

Room was nicely decorated. Walking distance to everything the Gas Lamp district has to offer. Front desk person was very accommodating, told us about our room and said to return to her if we had any problems, but we didn't. Would highly recommend to others and will return myself.

Lobby area of the hotel is very nice the staff are polite and helpful especially the car valet parking staff. The room however was a disappointment it smelt very musty for the two nights we were there and it had a gas fire with a pilot light on all the time no signs of a carbon monoxide detector present so...

This was a really great hotel. Very charming. I loved that they had a small "quickie mart" next to the front desk so you could get a soda, aspirin, etc. The courtyard is beautiful and the staff was friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Market Street or taking a short stroll to Seaport Village. However, it's...

Can't recommend this hotel enough - particularly Heather, the concierge and Ken at the front desk. My guy was there for an event on his birthday. All he can talk about is how lovely it is. Anyway, Ken and Heather were enormously helpful in making his day special and - what's even cooler - they seemed to genuinely enjoy the...

I stay here and was impress with how good it looked for being as old as it was. I had a decent stay but my allergies were aggravated from the old carpets and drapes. Other than that I was pleased with the stay but wish they would get rid of more of the dust.

nice rooms, gas fire place (low flame). Closet is free standing, kinda small. Keep in mind Hotel in not new but rather aged (though modernized). Tours go though lobby area. So if early / light sleeper, avoid rooms near stars by main Island Ave. can sometimes hear floor above squeaking from people walking. Palace bar (plenty of Whiskeys) adjoins the...

This hotel is not the new, modern, swanky hotel that many people enjoy but, rather this is a very good representation of the Gas Lamp District in which it sits. The elevator, the halls, even the beautiful lobby has that Queen Mary feel. Best of all, you just walk around the corner and you are in the heart of the...

Stayed at the Horton Grand just one night; had a balcony room with fireplace. Liked the room and the comfy bed; nice view of the treetops down in the courtyard area. I love Victorian era décor, so this hotel really supplied that for me. Don't miss the bar area; very beautiful, and that's where you'll find the carved wooden staircase....
