The place is beautiful and very well situated in the Gas Lamp district and very close to the convention center. The staff was great, just flawless. The room was nice and spacious but a little dated. The hotel could be perfect with a little attention to updating and detailing the rooms.

Historic, haunted hotel restored to nearly original appearance. Rooms were simple but historic appointments. Comfortable and nice view of the courtyard. The bar was awesome with a great selection of bourbon and scotch. Located in the Gas Lamp district make it close to everything in the area.

This is a boutique hotel located adjacent to the popular Gaslamp District. Location is wonderful with access to all the shopping and dining in the GD. Rooms are small but clean and well appointed. Having a bar on-site was a plus after a day of sight seeing in San Diego.

My first night in the hotel I was awoken by a water leak from the toilet. Although the staff was nice and was able to relocate me it took 30 minutes all the while water was filling the bedroom. They moved me one room away so I still heard the maintenance crew the rest of the morning dealing with the...

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Very interesting historic building where they tried to maintain some of the earlier pieces. For instance, there are little window boxes as you're riding the elevator that show glimpses of period-specific decor and attire. The rooms harken back to the early 1900's where everyone has a fireplace. I thought that was a nice...

It is a boutique hotel but it is not even remotely fabulous, unless you live in a tenement. The front desk staff are courteous but always seemed to be in hurry to do something else and not just with me but with others, too. I didn't have an incident that affected my view, it just isn't a good place to...

The Hotel is conveniently located downtown and about 2 blocks from convention center. Front desk is courteous. The first room offered was 1st floor and found there was no latch on one of the windows which are single pane and right next to the sidewalk and street. I asked for another room and was given an ADA room on 4th...

The hotel is privately owned and has undergone extensive renovations. The lobby is bright, cheerful and engaging. Beautiful. Outstanding open air courtyard complete with a fountain. There is a magnificent wooden crafted stairway made in Austria, leading to the 4th floor. The Palace Bar is truly reminiscent of the Hollywood golden years and is elegant with a fabulous single malt...

Imagine a boutique hotel with an enchanting Victorian flair but with contemporary conveniences. The moment you enter you realize that you are in a special place. The history is fascinating and the appointments and decor bring that to life. The rooms are quite large, and mine and others have small balconies. The hotel restaurant is romantic, and the food excellent,...
