Stayed on a club level floor and enjoyed the limited variety of breakfast and appetizers options, but the evening drink selection was not discounted from the prices in the lobby, maybe the pour was more generous. Staff was excellent. Food options are limited throughout the hotel. The Market shop is only open 5:30 to 5:30. So in the evenings when...

The hotel is extremely dated and in need of a renovation. The only reason I stayed here was that my conference was held at the hotel. $22 resort fee....come on, you only receive standard wifi and the bikes, paddle boards.....really? It's too cold out to use them. Adam? Do you really care what guests are saying? You do not directly...

This hotel is very convenient to airport and the marina. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Only complaint is the airplane noise. Maybe one would get used to it. Nice view of San Diego and the marina from our room. Pool is pretty but it was rainy so didn't swim.

Our experience at this hotel was good, not great. It's close to the airport, so you do hear some noise from the planes taking off. Overall the room was decent and housekeeping did a good job keeping it clean, although our broken coffee maker was never fixed after I reported it. The beds were very firm. We had a small...

Stayed at The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in Jan 2014 and again in Jan 2017. The hotel hasn't changed much in those 3 years, I think it could absolutely use a little remodeling in the guest rooms. The location is convenient as it's close to the airport and has shuttles that run. You have to take a taxi/uber...

I was here again for a conference. Last time I stayed in the Marina Tower and this time I stayed in the Bay Tower. They are a good bit apart. The Marina Tower is much newer and nicer. The Bay Tower is older. The Sheraton Club was in the Marina Tower so staying in the Bay Tower you had to...

The hotel was beautiful and the views good. easy access to walking along the harbor. That said, planes landing made significant noise till midnight and started again at 6am. There was weather issues across the US which may have contributed and made our timing particularly bad. The level of noise was really bad and made it very hard to fall...

We stayed here for a conference in Dec 2016. Had to stay at this hotel because client booked it. Pros: convenient to airport Cons: far from downtown and convention center, 20 minute cab ride, if you can get a cab at the bay tower, don't ask about the convention bus ride Room was poor: no water out of hot water...

The hotel was nice, it was about 3 miles away from San Diego and there was a nice trail to walk or run along the water. However, it was pricey for what it had to offer. There is an additional fee for parking (it is cheaper to park on another parking lot across the street) and they charge for Wi-Fi...

The hotel is located in an island with very nice views of the marina and very close to the airport. The noise of the airplanes is bothersome and the hotel looks old and worn out. The service and staff are very good and helpful. Breakfast was quite a disappointment, the buffet was poorly served with not that many options. Make...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
San Diego has established itself as a destination featuring world class spirit with genuine warmth. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina offers an authentic San Diego experience. Iconic sunsets and a waterfront destination…it’s comfortably upscale without pretense. As an architectural cornerstone positioned at the point of entry into the city - by air or sea - the imposing facade of the hotel reflects an architectural design inspired by the region’s naval influence. In the mid 1800s, city leaders realized the potential of the San Diego Bay and, with the anticipation of the opening of the Panama Canal, the importance of improving the harbor for commerce. Significant modifications were needed to the Bay to accommodate large ships. As a result, Harbor and Shelter Island were developed, as well as much of the land beneath the San Diego International airport. Today’s San Diego has evolved into a place to meet and share inspiration. Overlooking the scenic San Diego Bay and a private marina, the hotel is a place where San Diego soul and contemporary style go hand and hand. A Bayside resort with urban accessibility, the hotel is a waterfront hub connecting you to the destination’s renowned attractions. Ideally located within easy reach, the historic Liberty Station, the waterfront districts of Point Loma, the energy of Little Italy and the Gaslamp Quarter offer convenient, lively dining and entertainment venues. Amongst exquisite lifestyle decor and a relaxing atmosphere, the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina reflects a perfect haven for the active lifestyle that is woven deep into the region’s DNA. There are waterside fire pits and three pools - each with a unique personality. But most importantly, the hotel is designed to make best use of San Diego’s average 72 degree year-round sunny weather. Sitting on the dock of the Bay, the hotel offers access to water sport rentals and sailing tours to provide an extraordinary perspective of San Diego. Along with the diversity that found home in San Diego, the intense energy that the destination acquired offers a remarkably unique experience. Naturally, this energy worked its way into the foundation of the hotel. From the moment of arrival, the hotel is designed to offer a scenic environment with unmatched flexibility and capability. The nautically inspired guest rooms and suites come with an elegant array of amenities and social enabling conveniences. Social travelers seeking something astonishing can choose one of the spacious and well equipped suites for a unique and luxurious home away from home. Reflecting the needs of the world’s social traveler, a great hotel is built with much more than awe-inspiring design. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina enlists a warm, friendly and tenured staff that is connected to the urban energy of downtown San Diego. ... more   less
