We booked thinking it couldn't be that bad. When people say it's bad it's bad. We arrived on a Friday night. There were no outside lights on as we drove to our room, It was so dark I used my own flashlight to walk the stairs. By the way there's no elevator. The bathtub was peeling paint as it was... More

This is one of the cheaper places to stay. I've stayed here a few time but always in the Superior Room. The Superior rooms are very nice close to the pool and court yard. this time I stayed in the standard. The rooms was very nice not the view but it was clean, spacious needing a little TLC. For the... I come to San Diego every month for work &try to spend less than $130/night. I also stay in different areas to get to experience the city. I won't be coming back to this property. I have stayed at MUCH nicer properties in San Diego for less $. The room was dated, smelled "old", door didn't feel secure, housekeeping left... More

Stayed 4 days in November. Room was very good and very clean. Beds are comfy. The best part is the staff, all encountered were the very best. That goes for all encountered in the San Diego area, awesome people and will be back again. Can't go wrong staying at Mission Valley Resort or San Diego. Love it.

I think the headline says it all. Also, as seen on pictures, my reservation included a phone, a radio and an alarm clock that I paid for but did not get. I travel 3-4 times per year, basically made over 30 trips in the past 10 years, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE THIS, NEVER IN MY LIFE! Major issues:... More

The hotel could have been better. There were ants in the bathroom. It was hard to get clean towels and wash clothes even if you asked. The pool did not seem to be heated as advertised. The spa was not working and someone had put bubbles in the spa.

This hotel is cheap. Calling it a "resort" really requires some creative re-defining of the term. Maybe it's short for "port of last resort". If you want cheap and you need to be on or near Hotel Circle like I did, you might forgive the smell and the awful beds. You may overlook the barely functioning ice machine (always empty).... More

Very dirty. Non-functioning light fixtures in room. Gross disgusting dirty door. Major huge cracks in the bath tub. Old TV (pre-flatscreen era) w/ out a clear picture. Only 2 ice machines on entire property and they were broken. Vending machines all beat up and kicked in. Old pool filled up with dirt and locked gates was the lovely scenery outside... More
