I am a teacher and mother of 3. My sister told me she booked with your hotel and your staff was amazing and to speak directly with Diante, she was not wrong! Diante helped this teacher on a budget, his humor and amazing personality was top notch! I am incredibly grateful for all his great customer service and hope to thank him in person

Hotel's Favorite
My family came to visit me in San Diego and booked a room at the Catamaran. I was a little skeptical of how the hotel experience might be during this crazy time with the global crisis. To our absolute delight, the Catamaran is operating better than ever, and it’s very apparent how serious they’re taking the Covid-19 protocols. Dave Hopper, the banquet coordinator, took the best care of us and treated my parents like his own. He got us a reservation at the hotel restaurant, made excellent recommendations for fun things to do in town, and assisted my mom who has a hard time walking, in getting an accessible room. We look forward to their next visit and more wonderful interactions with the great staff here.

For my wife's bday weekend, we booked a room here for a few nights. My expectations were higher than what we encountered upon arrival. The first room we were given was quite small. It was a "Garden View" room. As we attempted to open the sliding glass door, it fell off it's rails and ground to a halt. We called down and they gave us another room, 2nd floor, no elevator. Again, it was a "Garden View" room. The sliding glass door did the same thing in this room also. So we gave up on that one and just accepted that if we called the next room would probably be the same. The food and drinks were ok... definitely not worth what they charge though. I must say, however, the outdoor areas are amazing. coy ponds everywhere and a special corner where a few macaws hang out for the day. The proximity to the ocean is incredibly convenient. The pool is amply big and the pool attendant, ABUKAR, was extremely helpful, cheerful, and overall extremely kind. He was a pleasure to converse with, especially with his light and happy sense of humor. Thank you ABUKAR :)

This was our first time staying at this property. The reception area and the outdoors is green, has beautiful birds and fishes which kept my kids entertained. The rooms do need renovation, they were clean but the ambence is old in the tower we stayed at. I was glad there was a small kitchen. The balcony and the view of the ocean was beautiful. They followed good COVID precautions. I would return to this property if they renovate the rooms

The bay front rooms may be spectacular but I stayed in the tower due to a last minute change of housing. It was throwback Sunday upon entering my room on the 4th floor. Turning on the light switch in the kitchenette, and the flickering until it went on completely was enough to scare most. I didn't want to enter the room without shoes on....enough said
