My friend and I spent 2 days at this hotel. Although the location and the architecture of this late 1800 mansion are great, the overall service is definitively not worth the $200 per night we were charged. First of all the service at the reception is, to say the least, cold. Immediately upon arrival we were asked to provide another...

Perfect location to every thing, Balboa park which is amazing with great museums. I only had a short stay do took in the Art museum and serendipitous Lynn, got a free ticket to Art Live. An oragami flower show that was extraordinarily intricate and beautiful alongside heart art. Close to the San Diego bay, great sushi, waterfront and beaches spectacular...

We stayed for two nights. The location was good, close to Balboa Park, and close enough to the waterfront. I had higher expectations for the inn for the price we paid. This place has so much potential, but sadly does not take advantage of the ambiance of this beautiful historical home. With a few upgrades like an afternoon tea, a...

A Victorian period place, has few rooms and is quite comfortable. A few tall buildings hide the spectacular exterior. Beautiful renovations done very well. Excellent location to Balboa Park. They provide a buffet breakfast. Usual and then some, meats and cheeses. We stayed for a night, and have booked a return already.

The pros: Nice historic property Well maintained Two blocks from Balboa Park Location is good Clean Parking was good. They provide garage parking deck across the street or street parking at no additional cost. The cons: When I arrived I was asked to pay more than the confirmed total. I asked about this and was told taxes were to be...

Beautiful B&B but awful accommodations. Toiletries were plastic bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash shared by previous guests. Hand soap at the sink was a plastic bottle of antibacterial soap also shared by previous guests. Not very sanitary!! The free water bottle was a 2ounce Costco bottle. Couldn't get any smaller. The bed creaked and was not very...

This bed and breakfast inn is just a couple of blocks from Balboa Park, in a neighborhood with plenty of restaurants. It's an old mansion, with striking woodwork and completely gorgeous stained glass in the main stairwell. Even if you don't stay here, it's worth popping in to get a look at the lobby. We stayed in the carriage house...

I ran into this Inn on Booking.com because it had a good deal and was close to the San Diego Zoo...our main destination. However, my wife and I were very impressed at the quality of the room, the elegant atmosphere, its close location to anything we could want in San Diego (including downtown, Balboa Park, and multiple eating options) and...

I enjoyed my stay in the Aesthetic Room on the 2nd floor. I appreciated the complimentary water upon arrival and found the room to be beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The inn was within walking distance to Balboa Park and a close drive to the airport, which made the price of the room a great deal ($99 a night...
