Hotel's Favorite
We had a very long stay here so it definitely became our home away from home. The hotel is great especially the views and the comfy beds but what made our stay great was the staff Sammie was our first contact and was very pleasant and welcoming upon our arrival. She was always eager to help with any issues and went above and beyond to assure everything met our expectations. Lauren is also a superstar of this hotel. She made our days brighter even after being in the same hotel for 3 months. She was very professional and always followed up and assured we were taken care of. A fine example that makes this hotel a special place. Hector is another standout employee. He greeted upon return every night and made us feel special. He came to our room countless times and was there for anything we needed. He also kept the hotel nice and safe during the late night hours. Amanda also helped us many times when issues came up. She was very courteous and pleasant. She is a great asset to the team. Ruby treated us great also. She was a go to person at night and made sure we had all the necessary items for our room. She is very friendly and hardworking Theresa is the star of the housekeeping staff. She made sure we had plenty of towels and items for our room. She was always smiling and made us appreciate her hard work. Matt was another fine employee. He was very pleasant and helpful upon checkout and wished us a farewell and thanks. Other employees that were outstanding were..Alberto, Gracila, Eva, Lupita Thanks Hilton Mission Valley We spent a Birthday and 2 Holidays with you in one stay!

I decided to take my boyfriend to San Diego to celebrate his 40th birthday. I booked a room at Hilton Mission Valley. It was not cheap but I am a Hilton honors member so I decided to book anyways. We were told there was a $29 charge for self parking when we checked in and that was never mentioned when booking the room. We checked in and the first room we had there was hair from someone else all over the bathroom. I called the front desk and they moved us rooms. We left to explore San Diego and when we returned we noticed hair all over that bathroom as well (I have long hair and he is bald), flickering lights in the bathroom and a broken toilet seat. Also, the AC was not functioning in the room and was very warm even though the thermostat read 65 degrees. We didn't get back until late so we decided to just live with it for the night. There was also a form given to us at check in that if maintenance was needed for any reason we would have to vacate the room for 3 hours prior to them entering due to COVID. The next morning we went downstairs to get towels since they will not bring them to your room due to COVID (but both rooms obviously were not thoroughly cleaned because there was hair all over). All three elevators were broken and we were directed to use the service elevator. There were 9 plus people in the 1 service elevator everytime it arrived on the 4th floor. We eventually had to get on with 9 plus people even though it is supposed to be 2 people at a time due to COVID. We chose to walk the 4 floors back up to our room because the line for the 1 elevator was extremely long and as stated over 9 people at a time were in the elevator. An hour before check out my boyfriend was getting dressed and housekeeping walked in without even knocking we started saying hey hey. She screamed in shock and shut the door. Unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not recommend visiting this establishment until they can get their act together. This is my third bad experience with Hilton in the last 2 months and I will not be using them anytime soon. The money spent for this room and self parking is ridiculous when it is dirty and everything is broken.

I checked in with Niko who was great and accommodating. He was the only front desk staff and at times he was very busy but handled it well. The room, however, had no remote, fridge, microwave, requested amenity, robe, TV and internet lagged and was difficult to enjoy and no breakfast or credit offered. I think I was checked into a room that wasn't inspected. This made me really uncomfortable because the sign in the bathroom said my room was sanitized with Lysol; and if it wasn't inspected, then maybe the quality of the housekeeping or hotel staff would overlook that as well. It was my birthday weekend and I stayed at The Hilton because I wanted a nice experience for my special day but the Hilton really let me down. I checked out a day early to go try the Hilton at Torrey Pines to make up for it. Please represent the Hilton brand better! P.S. Niko was your only saving grace

We were actually staying at their sister hotel Homewood Suites, but they sent Jose to fix the doors in our rooms that were off track for 2 weeks, and he came in and apologized and fixed both doors and was GREAT! If it weren't for Jose we would have probably waited another 2 weeks...thanks Jose you were awesome and deserve a raise brother!!

Very well maintained Hotel. Room was nice and they served Starbucks coffee at the bar. It was raining out, but, the floors were kept nice and dry. Nice location. I did not utilize the pool area because of the Coronavirus, but next time I will.
