Hotel is starting to look tired, no airport shuttle had to get a Lyft or Uber. Staff very friendly. Tub was peeling and the shower was very dingy. Room was adequate. The coffe was the best part of the stay. Great coffee!

Not sure what other reviewers saw in this place or what exactly they are expecting. It’s a Hilton hotel. Like every other Hilton hotel. People out here are expecting luxury amenities, room service, turndowns. It’s $200 a night buddy let’s bring down those expectations to the real world a little bit. Everyone is short staffed and we we all need to go with the flow and not be so picky about everything. Stayed 2 nights last weekend 10th floor quiet side overlooking the hillside. Slept great, it was quiet, everything worked as it should, front desk was friendly as well as the bartender on Friday afternoon. Great SD beers on tap!

This is clearly an older property but the rooms are renovated and the staff were friendly. The view from the south facing rooms is a green hill side which is better than the freeway on the north side. They have self parking which is nice, but the rate of $35 per night is exorbitant in my opinion. Sound insulation of room doors and between rooms is terrible. I could hear people in the hallway plus also in adjoining rooms and they were not being particularly loud. Not helpful when you're trying to get a good night's sleep. As a business traveler, having the hhonors wifi constantly fail was a major pain. I'd just stayed at two other Hilton properties last week and it was fine there so it's definitely a site specific issues. The business center was also out of service which again is not ideal when you need to print things but front desk did print some pages for me which was nice.

This hotel has gotten better and better. Clean, comfortable, convenient. It allows me to attend my conference and not have to stay on site. It’s nice to be there, but be able to leave to this oasis. The breakie there is fantastic! The servers are all friendly and delightful. I look forward to returning next August for my conference!

The rooms are unsafe. The microwave is over 5 feet tall so be careful. The bathroom door is too close to the entry door so don’t get whacked. Our room was dirty, and a shower body wash dispenser was empty. You have to climb on the couch to open the curtains to see out.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds because we had my mother-in-law traveling with us. When we got to the room, we saw there was only 1 bed. We were not told this when we checked in. I went back to the front desk and the person who checked us in (Kamren F.) told us that there was nothing that could be done and that we would have to look somewhere else. This was the first time since staying with Hilton that I have had this type of experience. Hilton is normally very accommodating and would at least contact another Hilton property nearby to see what could be done. This was poor customer service to say the least. This is not acceptable. I would like someone from the corporate office to contact me to discuss this issue.

We stayed at Hilton San Diego Mission Valley because of its convenient location. We also belong to Hilton Honors. The hotel needs updating and their hotel staff needs to have better communication with their guests as well as amongst themselves. What really upset me was their customer service. I called the front desk to ask if their washer and dryer was available. They said yes. I gathered my laundry and proceeded to the front desk to purchase some detergent pods. After that I took the elevator to the basement only to find a large sign that said OUT OF ORDER. When I went up to my room, I called the front desk and they said the engineers didn't let them know that the machines were out of order and they will find out if they will fix it and call me back in 15 MINUTES. NO ONE CALLED ME. We needed to go somewhere so I went to the front desk to ask about the washer and dryer. The mgr. who told me she knew nothing about the washer and dryer being broken, took my name and phone number and told me that the engineers are checking out the machines and she will call me to let me know when I can do laundry. SHE NEVER CALLED. This is the worst customer service we have ever received at a Hilton hotel or any hotel for that matter. The workers don't care about you. The managers don't know whats happening at the hotel. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. You can get a better place with WAY BETTER SERVICE than Hilton San Diego Mission Valley for the same price. WE'RE NEVER STAYING THERE AGAIN. After we returned home, people told us that the hotel has gone downhill and they stay at the Sheraton down the street now.

Unfortunately this was probably the worst experience I had at Hilton Hotel ever. It started with me getting into the elevator and hearing from other guests that the air conditioning was horrible. I got into my room and quickly figured out that there were no wash cloths. Additionally, some of the floor moulding was deteriorating. Finally, when I went to lay down that evening, I noticed a musty moldy smell, when I got out of bed, I noticed that the carpet was wet, like something was leaking into the room. I notified the front desk staff but never heard back from them. When I returned to the room that evening, there was no evidence that anything had been done. Then as I was leaving this morning I heard another guest arguing with housekeeping about the lack to towels in her room. This hotel is in need of major repairs and better maintenance and management.

We were lost getting to the San Diego Waves Snapdragon stadium on August 4th and stopped at the Hilton to ask for directions. Elizabeth at the front desk was so very helpful even though we were not staying at the hotel. Very impressed with the good service. We have stayed here before and will be staying here in November.

Stayed two nights. Checked in after 12:00 am. After a long 8 hour trip. Ready to check in and get a good night sleep. The hotel clerk Rogelio was rude at hello. The check in was difficult with him. He gave us a hard time because we had reservations from a third party, all these rules applied. Which we did not know of. Hour later and a call to confirm my name on reservation we finally got a room. After many hours driving. Trust me Rogelio is not the face you wanna meet checking in. He should put more effort into his attitude and be nice like the long nails he had going on. The cleaning lady on the 12th floor was more friendly. She should be at the desk. For the amount of money you pay. Breakfast and parking should be free. The strangest thing is the shower. The entrance of the shower should be to the right not left. The knob is to the right. You get soaked before actually getting in the shower. So make sure you enter the shower nude and deal with the temperature of hot or cold when your actually in shower mode. Besides those issues room was clean and did love the city view and the water given at check in. I just believe if you choose to work in customer service. Leave your bad attitude out the door the minute you walk into work.
