Would not stay again. Too bad because in a great area to visit Little Italy. Staff was nice enough and found us a room and breakfast decent. View probably not worth paying more. So strange that would try to hide the mattress issue as the smell was very evident.

My 1st time at Porto Vista and it won't be my last. It's a nice clean hotel in Little Italy. Close to everything. I have no complaints. When I come to San Diego this is where I will stay. The layout reminds me of the Ice Palace in Cherry Grove/Fire Island. A special shout out to Jose at the valet...

This is our second time here, stayed in the balboa suite the first time and this time got a less expensive city view balcony room. The view was actually way better from this one. As I said in the last review the location of this place is its major selling point. You can walk to so many great restaurants and...

This room was nice but the walls are paper thin! I could hear the neighbors TV and conversations through the wall! Makes for a rough nights sleep when they're up until midnight! I did like the breakfast served and the room itself was well kept. It's also a nice walking distance to many things to do around Little Italy.

Location is superb. Great if you are driving and want to access the freeway. Next to Little Italy which is a beautiful part of town. The view at breakfast was fantastic. Nice long balcony so we managed to get a seat out there on all three days. I can still remember the spicy potatoes. The hotel rooms themselves are fine,...

The breakfast was a nice option as well. Lastly, The price was right I feel like we paid for what...

When researching hotels in San Diego, I was looking for good shuttle service, walking distance to restaurants and a smoking area for my mother and TripAdvisor was right. I chose this hotel based on the great reviews for Jose, coordinator of shuttle service. Like others have said, he goes out of his way to provide excellent advice and service. He...

We stayed here for a weekend trip and enjoyed it. The only reason why it didnt get 5 stars was we didnt know that people were allowed to have dogs here. They barked a bit at night but only twice. It's also a remodel place with still some things that could be upgraded. other than that the room was really...

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing the Porto Vista Hotel. We are happy to hear that our staff was friendly and rooms were up to par in cleanliness during your stay.
