The location of the hotel cannot be beat. However, the hotel room was dated, noise traveled, and the hotel charged for a late check out. Wow! The staff was very kind, but there were very few perks to staying here. The hotel did not satisfy for the money spent.

Right in the heart of Little Italy, close to the harbor, walking distance from all kinds of great places. I’m very glad I stayed, and the biggest problem I have is that I do not want to leave SD, it’s so lovely here.

First room we got was made up but then we noticed the bar sink was clogged and had flooded the carpet. Went back down and they gave us a new room but it had no balcony, which we specifically wanted. Went back again and got another room. Opened the balcony door only to have cigar smoke blast us from the next balcony. There was an older guy there who must have been living in the room. He had a hot plate out there and cooked and smoked cigars. Possibly crew for the renovation they were ding above us as there was daily construction noise from between 8 and 9am to 6pm. Went to use the rooftop deck and pool on Sunday but it was closed due to a wedding. If there is a wedding or weddings on the weekend other guests lose use of the deck and pool. Went to the pool Monday and there were no towels and lots of construction going on. Called for towels but they never came. Stopped going to the pool. Were given breakfast vouchers and went to use them the first day. There were people in the restaurant but the door wouldn'topen. It was 45 minutes until it was supposed to end. We knocked to see what was going on but staff totally ignored us. Knocked harder and they came to the door and chewed us out but let us in. Some people behind us also came in. Did get breakfast about half an hour later. It was "meh". In that time another couple came and tried to get breakfast, had a argument with the staff and left. We had vouchers for 2 more days but never went back. Didn't bother to report it as the front desk seemed totally unresponsive to any requests from guests. Since we decided not to hassle with breakfast we tried to get more coffee and creamers for our room and were told they didn't have any. When we checked out the front desk person said they would email a receipt but that never happened. There were more small issues and we probably could have made a big fuss at the time but didn't want to spend our vacation arguing with people, so we worked around it for 3 days, took advantage of the location and will just never go back.

Run from this horrible hotel! The location is good but the property is filthy, there is no maid service, the tv's don't work and can't be repaired. The bar charges $10 for a beer and they were WARM! They offer a free breakfast but don't give you the coupons, the restaurant staffs 1 waitress she is absolutely overwhelmed and could not get the coffee machine to make coffee when I was there. Either it was not working or she did not know how to work it. The breakfast menu has 6 selections, only 2 are breakfast items offered eggs and undercooked potatoes or kid size pancakes. Go ahead and ignore this and go for the deal but don't say I did not warn you! We were there as a group, tv's that did not work, dirty rooms and drains that would not drain were a common problem.
