Excellent and reasonably priced boutique hotel in downtown San Diego. Classy renovation of an older property with wonderful staff. Some reviewers complained about small rooms - wasn't such a problem for us except for two things: the reading chair was a bit in the way and to open the safe door you needed to shift furniture, so the only reason... Very very small room. Its described as boutique but sometimes that just means small and old. The room is clean with very nice decor. Nice sized TV and an empty fridge. Even though it is small there seems to be plenty of storage for 2 people. The sink is just inside the room door. Its not even in the bathroom.... More

This hotel was very clean, had friendly staff, a good restaurant, and a coffee shop. The room was small but San Diego is all about being outside anyway. Other reviewers have whined about the size but I didn't find the size a problem at all. The location is great, it's a few blocks to the Gaslamp District and a short... More

I would call the hotel good, not average. The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean, as was all the public areas. I give this a "good" rating primarily for the size of the rooms vs. cost of stay. The rooms are pretty small on the average (I've stayed here about 5-6 times) with even the suites being on the... More

Botique hotel. I had a queen room and it was small but I didn't mind at all. There is a restaurant below that is great for dinner/drinks. It is not open for breakfast during the week, which was a bummer. Pros - modern room, great shower head, nice towels, fridge, microwave, new feeling rather than old and drab, free wifi,... More

I love boutique hotels but not this one. I am from New York and have stayed in a number of small rooms, but this was RIDICULOUS!! I couldn't even open my suitcase all the way. The walls were painfully thin. I had good neighbors, but I could hear everything as if we were in the same room. Worse yet was... More

All in all the hotel was quite good, except the "free internet" rip off. The staff explained that the fee was made, because the owner wanted to advertise his hotel in a certain price range, basically a hotel search engine scam. This apparently in full agreement with the booking sites.

Very easy check in, fast and pleasant. Got upgraded to a king bed even though we puchased this room on Priceline. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Upscale toiletries, and good quality towels. There is a decent safe, small fridge, microwave, and free wifi. The business centre is convenient and easy to print boarding passes. Rooms are... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us online and we wanted to let you know that currently an installation of new 42" flat screen televisions is underway to replace all of the in-room televisions. Again, thank you and hopefully, we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to Sofia soon More

Very well positioned hotel. One can walk to the Gaslamp Qrt and to the Waterfront easily, nice comfortable rooms. However not so very good sound isolation. In addition there were roadworks the night we stayed and eventhough we were transferred to another side, we could still hear it. Price/Value (no breakfast, expensive parking) could be a bit better.
