We were really wowed by this hotel on our last stay so we bit the bullet and booked last minute even though to be honest I think this hotel is slightly overpriced. Most notably the $40 overnight parking fee. Ugh! Our room this time was totally different than last time and I actually preferred it because it faced a courtyard... More

The staff is friendly, courteous and makes you feel special. The room has all the amenities and more than one can ask for. The rooftop bar offers awesome views with quality service and drinks with 'Rob'. The location is in the middle of all the action.

Nice hotel in Gaslamp district. This was our first Andaz brand stay after many Hyatt stays. The location is great. Service was good and room was comfortable. Breakfast on the roof was very good. Parking is expensive. Overall this is a solid choice for a place in the Gaslamp district.

This hotel is close to night life and restaurants. The rooms are clean, small and minimalist like. The bathroom is separated from the room by glass which makes for an interesting layout but it does work. What this hotel has going for it is the rooftop overlooking the city. It's a great place to relax, party, swim and eat. I... More

I was in San Diego on business and the hotel was chosen for us. This place was amazing! Room was very comfortable with many amenities. Fantastic service and very friendly staff. We took our meals on the rooftop with a great view of the San Diego area. I want to go back just for fun and stay longer. My room... More

Loved this hotel. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, relaxed, and the room was unexpectedly high-end. I booked last minute and was probably not paying bargain basement prices, I don't know what is normal for this area, but it was still very good value given the quality. A nice sized hotel too, small but with the amenities you need when... More

Spent three nights here on a recent business trip: great rooms, nice fitness center, excellent location and courteous staff. But the sound insulation in rooms with a connecting door was atrocious. Took two front-desk calls and one hour to get 3:00 am party in the room adjoining mine quieted to the point where I could sleep. Oddly, management did not... More

Be Careful! This place is nice, and charges a pretty penny for the rooms... however, they let all kinds of trashy people in to their rooftop bar on the weekends. The Saturday night I stayed here they had some sort of fight take place on the rooftop and there was blood everywhere in the hotel, and the security got real... More

The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a nice roof top lounge with a limited food menu but a great view. However, the rooms are poorly designed with little storage or space. The showers have low water pressure and the showers leak all over the floor. There is no place to put luggage or drawers for storage.... More

Stayed at Andaz for business and extend onto the weekend to enjoy the city. Checkin was rough. First they had my reservation split into three files for four nights. Then they put me in a room the size of a postage stamp. So small there wasn't a single drawer in the room. I raised hell and got moved to a... More
