The Andaz is a party hotel right in the middle of the Gaslamp Quarters. It's more catered for the younger crowd who want to be right next to all the pubs and night life. We've also stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt about a mile away which has more of resort slower pace. Nothing wrong with either. Both very good...

This is a great hotel located in central location. The staff was incredible and willing to help with any need, they were extremely polite. I would highly recommend the hotel and stay there again when I visit San Diego.

The room was very comfortable, the people were great and the mall as well as many eateries were within walking distance. I have stayed here before and was happy when I found out we would stay here again

The Andaz - what a surprise offering that I had not yet experienced. I typically stay at the Hard Rock (won't do again, now that I know about the Andaz), but loved the Andaz. You do have a noise factor to contend with due to the hotels' proximity to the Gaslamp; however, the hotel does offer earplugs on the nightstands....

The property is conveniently located for walking in the Gaslamp District, to Horton Plaza, and other downtown shops and restaurants. There is a rooftop gym, pool, bar, and restaurant with city views and heat lamps for chilly nights. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Parking is valet only and may take 15 to 20 minutes to...

Hotel was nice, club and pool upstairs were OK, unfortunately, room sucked, more like a motel, you should be ashamed of yourselves,$500.00 a night? ARE YOU KIDDING!! Never staying at The Andaz again nor recommending it to anyone...

Horrible stay! Check-in with Marina was fine, though the room I had was off the elevator and bombarded by noise from the elevator waiting area. I was moved to the room that was originally assigned to me which was supposedly not available 10 min earlier. As a Diamond member, Hyatt hotels try to upgrade to larger rooms, not in this...

Wow I love this hotel... really is a beautiful hotel and a really great place to go with my girlfriends when LA gets too crazy. This is the best hotel in downtown San Diego hands down. I will stay here again and again because not only is ever single person at the hotel nice and helpful, they're willing to go...

I stayed at the Andaz for two nights with colleagues. Stay away. Not what you would expect from a high class hotel. First, the hotel is incredibly loud. The hotel provides earplugs but it is not adequate. Street noise continues till 3am with crowds shouting in the street, motorcycles revving and police cars. Second, we had several encounters with prostitute...

Great staff and location. Easy to walk to everything that the downtown Gaslamp District has to offer - lots of bars & restaurants. We skipped the $45 valet and "parked it on Market it" about 2 blocks away (short walk), but you don't need a car unless you're traveling outside of downtown.
