We stayed in the Urban Flat 2 suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is walking distance to San Diego Harbor where we boarded our Hornblower Christmas Lights Cruise. The place was clean and tastefully decorated. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had to find parking on the street as this is...

Dear HelloWy, Thanks for your recent review. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, we are in the best location, everything in Little Italy is in walking distance and there is so much to do. Typically there is an abundance of street parking for free, but who needs a car with such a central location!!...

This is a very small hotel with around 20 rooms. The rooms are quite nice and clean. The beds are confortable and the rooms quite spacious. I had a room with kitchenette which in this case meant a coffee maker, a fridge and a microwave oven. Wifi is free and with very varying speed. Late at night, it is very...

Thank you for noting the cleanliness, comfort and spaciousness of our accommodations. Unlike most hotels who limit every user to 3 MB bandwidth, we don't, so when "extra bandwidth" is available, you do get a much higher speed that normal. I realize this provides a little inconsistency, and I believe the benefit outways the disadvantage of limiting every device. We...

Very good location next to Little Italy. Stores, restaurants and sites in walking disstance. Hotel and room were clean but not spacious. Breakfast was average. Fast wireless internet. Rather noisy due to the adjacent highway and airport. No parking available.

We're glad you liked us! Fast wifi is so important these days, and thanks for calling that out. As noted, everything is in walking distance, so once you find somewhere to park, there's little need for a car again until it's time to leave. We appreciate the business and the review. David.

Quaint Inn with vintage furnishings in Little Italy. Three floors, no elevator. Small front desk staffed by a single young person, friendly and helpful, but in early morning (6:30-7:00 am), no one was there. I had a corner room on 2nd floor with shared bath. Room was very cold, in December, about 60F, because heater did not work, although hallways...

Dear Susan L, Thanks for your review. I hope that you mentioned that your heater was out to our team. I know that I enjoy a warm cozy bed and would be disappointed were it not the case. I apologize. Hotel Vyvant is a bed and breakfast style hotel in San Diego's 'Little Italy.' It is nicely located - just a couple of blocks from restaurants and shopping. The WiFi was strong. In-room Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch. The hotel is quaintly decorated. The front desk staff were all very accommodating. However, the would-be boutique hotel suffers from...

Sherise, thank you for the compliments about our location, WiFi and guest service team. If I encountered housekeeping and maintenance items I too would be concerned. We are in the process of recruiting a new engineer for the property and implementing a new housekeeping inspection program so that we can meet the potential that you so truly noted. David.

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for your review. I understand your comment regarding parking, it can sometimes be a challenge when the city is busy. Our hosts know the area very well and can provide assistance. Next time in town, please check with them if you are having difficulty. Look forward to seeing you again in San Diego!

Alas, this hotel had a change of ownership this year, and it shows at almost every level... not as welcoming, not as clean, breakfast replaced by cheap 7/11 type pastries, every little detail that made it special (happy hour, for instance) has been eliminated. The building itself is still charming, but lost its soul :(

Valerie, ownership changed for this charming hotel in 2015. San Diego has become very rate sensitive so we rates have come down a lot in the past two years. We no longer provide the happy hour and have made some adjustments with breakfast. However, we also want to ensure that we comply with all alcohol licensing and health department food...
