We arrived a few hours before check in. Usuall with Marriott properties there is not a problem checking in early afternoon. We were asked for our cell number and told when a room was available they would call us. So we went exploring San Diego. When we didn't hear by 4pm, we went back to the hotel, got an apology... We were in San Diego for Marine Boot Camp Graduation. Would highly recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites San Diego. The airport & MCRD shuttle service was so helpful. The breakfast, the staff & the property were great! The location worked well for our family if your visit is for boot camp graduation.

We really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff was so friendly and helpful Our room was on the 3rd floor--there are elevators. It had plenty of room for 3 with 2 queen beds, and a nice sized bathroom. The breakfast was better than most of the "free" ones and offered you make waffles, toast, bagels, variety... More

I've stayed at this hotel a few times and it is perfectly situated off the I-5 freeway which allowed me to drive easily to many locations including Sea World (5 min drive), the University of San Diego (5 min drive), nice restaurants for dinner (5-10 min) and of course it sits in Old Town which allowed us to walk around... We stayed at this hotel for a weekend. The place was so clean and nice, walking distance to Old Town San Diego. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful as were all the staff members. Breakfast had such a great variety considering it was continental, and I was very impressed. The room was big and clean. We didn't... More

My friends and I had driven through the night to get to San Diego so we did not fight traffic. We arrived in San Diego around 4:30 and watched the sunrise by the ocean. We proceeded to go to a little Mexican food restaurant up the street from Fairfield Inn and get breakfast and a few drinks. We then went... More

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting San Diego. Instead of paying much higher room rates near or in downtown San Diego, or in the Mission Bay area, consider staying here. Nearby (just a few blocks walking distance) is the Old Town train station. From there, you can take the trolley to downtown. The train station also services Amtrak,... More

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of August 2016. The hotel is located within walking distance from the Old City of San Diego and within 10 minutes' drive to the SeaWorld. We loved the hotel's design with the lovely fountains. The room (2 queen beds) was nice and comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff. We used the laundry room and... More

Staff was nice an friendly, not you typical corporate predictable Courtyard service. Nice location near restaurants, free parking on the street and a complimentary nice not distinctive breakfast. Right next to the highway entrance, very easy access ....

My wife, our eleven year-old granddaughter, and I had a great stay from August 11th-16th. Our primary reason for the trip was for our granddaughter to attend the a Basketball Camp at Alliant University, which was conveniently located approximately 20 miles from our hotel. For being our first visit to San Diego, our overall stay was very satisfying and enjoyable... More
