We were here for a golf tournament. As such, we were up and out early. The hotel is quiet and comfortable with all the amenities we expected. It is nice to have the on site bar open for socializing. Everything is very clean.

Hotel's Favorite
Ana Fe, Josue, Clarissa and Ariana are such wonderful and friendly people. DoubleTree by Hilton is lucky to have them as employees. Whenever I needed an assistance with finding hotel amenities, looking for recommendations for good restaurants and bars, to getting some extra coffee for my room, they were there for me. They deserve the biggest shout out, and preferably a raise!!! Keep up an awesome work guys!!!

When I arrived in my room there were stains on my linens. I told the front desk and the next day housekeeping came and the “new” linens they brought had a huge urine stain on the sheets. I showed it to housekeeping and he didn’t even apologize, just took it and gave me more linens…

Very nice pool area, but the room's AC didn't work well and made for an uncomfortable night. Nice small bar. Staff was really nice. Parking was not fun as the garage doesn't connect to the hotel. The snack area was limited and didn't have normal drug store items.

Stayed here with family on a trip to San Diego. The outside is beautiful - the pool, the firepit, the trailer and picnic tables. The rooms are very dated and very much in need of maintenence. Cabinets are scratched in the bathroom; the cabinet door hiding the refrigerator hanging almost off the hinges; mildew on the shower curtain; unnamed substance (blood? jam? pizza sauce?) on the bedskirts in both bedrooms. Very fancily dressed single women roaming the bar and hallways in the late evening/night. No housekeeping services. The breakfast buffet is actually good but rather limited (the only cereal was oatmeal, no cold cereal), the fresh fruit was only melons, the bacon was way over salty, and the price was rather steep. Daughters room ready when we arrived but not ours. Ok, we are early. So we hung out in her room. About 2 PM we heard housekeeping go into our room and we could hear them cleaning it. And we heard them leave. So we waited about 30 - 45 minutes and husband called down and asked if he could get an update as to when our room might be ready. And he was told it was not yet ready. He replied, ok, we heard housekeeping in there, we heard them cleaning, and we heard them leave about 30 minutes ago so we were hoping to get an update. And the answer he recieved was "you know we dont have to provide you a room until after 4 PM as that is our check in time". At 4:15 I walked down to the desk and the room was ready.... The parking garage is small and the turns to go from level to level are very tight.

Stayed here on April 20, 2022 for 1 night after a long day at sea world. The hotel itself was amazing. Staff was friendly. The cookies at checkin is to die for. Kinda miss working for a doubletree in Vegas. Upon checkin I was thanked for being a Diamond member and was upgraded to a suite. The suite itself was a 1 king bed then a glass door leading to a living space. 1 thing I loved the most was the balcony, you usually don’t see balconies anymore and if you do they are usually sealed shut but not here, their balconies are still accessible but wish they had some furniture out on them. The pool was nice after a long day in sea world especially the hot tub. Breakfast the next day was $20 but being a Diamond member I had a $15 credit so it ended up costing $5 which isn’t bad but it wasn’t that good. The glasses for the juice tasted like wine (almost like they didn’t wash the glasses from the night before) . Will I stay here again? Yes but next time I’ll skip breakfast as it wasn’t that good

The property is a little older, it can use some updating but that’s OK. When we got to the room I felt that it needed a little more cleaning, I didn’t press the issue because I knew we were only there one day and I always carry Clorox wipes so I wiped down the bathroom. A couple of the towels had small yellowish stains on them, no biggie just used the ones that did not. However, on the day we were to check out I washed my hair and grabbed the last towel to dry my hair and it was DISGUSTING. It had a lot of what appeared to be dry blood. Oh my gosh I was done and glad we were checking out. When I brought it up to the front desk staff they were like “oh wow not l cool we’ll bring it up to the housekeeping manager” For some reason I was expecting more, I don’t know maybe some dramatics (I wanted them to be as disgusted as I was lol) maybe some Hilton Honors points since I’m a member and you want me to come back. Now I feel like I should bring my own towels and sheet covers because obviously cleaning is not their top priority. The parking structure is a tight squeeze. I guess there’s not much they can do about it, but if you have an SUV forget about it. Also, I feel like parking should be free at this property. Last, does DoubleTree still provide chocolate chip cookies? We surely didn’t get any.

The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. We were surprised, however, that we had not been told we needed to request housekeeping the night before. Fortunately, when we requested it that morning they accommodated us and cleaned our room. A few maintenance issues around the bathroom -- the door has swollen and won't close all the way. The baseboards and other areas of the bath need paint, tiles needs new grout. Parking is outrageous but price gouging seems to be rampant in San Diego. Basically a good visit and we would stay again.

I chose the option of a Hotel over AirBnB because of all the bells and whistles that come with a hotel stay. Sadly, no bells or whistles. No room service. Had to pay $28 a night for parking. The service was lack luster at best. That's it for me! AirBnB from here on out.

I recently spent five days at this property and from the very first moment I stepped into this hotel, I experienced nothing but exemplary customer service from the the front desk staff, breakfast and dinner servers, housekeepers, and even being greeted by the maintenance man on occasion. It was the most wonderful week of my spring!
