As Motel 6's go this was ok for us. Myself and wife stayed for a couple of nights during a road trip. Firstly, remember that for the money you pay at this type of motel you are not going to get 5 star. We witnessed someone complaining at reception because of the 'type' of people staying. I really don't understand...

After closing 500West Broadway Hotel, downtown San Diego runs out of valuable rooms.(I am not talking about hostels). Motel 6 - downtown is a quite good alternative, when you look for a still central und quite located motel. Free parking & coffee as well as clean rooms are on the pro side. No free wifi but some interesting guests ;-)

2 rounds of fresh bedsheets, all were stained. 3 people we encountered acted like they were on drugs. We left. Hate to be negative but we couldn't stay. However, the staff was nice and fully refunded us without question. That was greatly appreciated!!!

Just returned from a one night stay at this sleeper. Was early and my room wasn't ready so left my details with the front desk and check in later was a snap. I was pleasantly surprised to get a spotless corner room on the 4th (top) floor in a vintage building. The windows even opened. Best nights sleep in a...

What a disaster. Booked this hotel after reading some glorifying reviews. Little that we knew. When we arrived we had to pay by cash for the first night, as the lady in the front desk could not make our card working. The room we were given was so dirty that we asked for an immediate change. Second room we were...

We stayed two nights in this hotel. It worked out for us as a family only because we stayed only for two night and use the hotel from sleep to sleep. But there are some problems with the hotel: 1. there are homeless and drunk people staying in the hotel. Management should not accept these kind of people in, because...

Got into San Diego late and we were so excited that this motel was so close to the San Diego Zoo. It's right in the middle of downtown, so location is AWESOME. The room itself, though was tiny. The bathroom lights flickered quite creepily when you turned them on. The bed reminded me of a futon. Not my best experience...

When I checked in the Front Desk clerk was professional and accommodating. My problem with the facility has to do with the cleanliness.First of all i don't expect much from a 2 star hotel. However, the one thing I do expect is the facility to be clean and sanitary. The following pictures show some of the problems. It also smelled like someone spilled...

We booked our stay in this place as part of our West-Coast-Roadtrip and stayed for three nights. From all the hotels we have been to so far it was one of the most expensive ones and also by far the dirtiest place. The elevator permit was expired, there are homeless people all around the building, doors are jamming, the floor...
