We checked in here after a long drive from Texas. We were so happy that we were able to check in early and get settled a bit before exploring the town. The rooms are a little small but are equipped with all the things you could possibly need for a few days, cable, WiFi, small fridge, coffee maker great for...

Dear JessericaR, Thank you for the great review of our hotel during your recent visit. We certainly have done our best to provide as many guestroom amenities and comforts that we can - and all at no additional charge. Even our Parking is free! I will be sure to let Vanessa know how much you appreciated her assistance in making...

I stayed here while visiting San Diego with friends. On arrival the staff were very helpful showing us to our rooms and giving us info and suggestions on places to eat and drink in the local area. The rooms themselves were ok, quite basic and the bathrooms were a bit ropey, something you'd see in a horror film just before...

Dear ChiptheChef, Thank you for the review that you provided about your recent stay with us. While we are about a 10 minute short ride/drive from the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown, many of our guests find that our easy access to the freeway makes it a quick ride and our rates are very competitive considering the much higher rates of...

I checked in, went to my room and immediately booked another room at a different property. I did not feel safe as a single female business traveler. There were sketchy people hanging out front. The bed was rock hard.. it reminded me of something you would find on the street being thrown out. The bathroom was huge, but the room...

Dear BrittanyKaye, I am sorry to hear that you chose not to stay with us during a recent visit to our hotel. We take security concerns very seriously, and we exceed the industry standards for guest room safety with our automatic deadbolt locking electronic door locks, and additional slide lock hardware. Our Inn also has 24 hour recorded security camera...

We have been impressed with improvements we've noticed at most all Red Roof Inns across the country, and one can tell that some effort has been taken at trying to upgrade this little, old property. But we think it's time Red Roof ditches this property because it just doesn't fit the new image. The hotel is quite old and could...

Dear Steve R, Thank you for your feedback concerning a recent stay at our Inn. Our Inn was completely remodeled several years ago and exceeds the Red Roof Inn standard in some areas including our Breakfast offering. Although our Single rooms are small, it is quite common to have rooms that are smaller than average near beach locations on the...

The night clerk, Gina, was outstanding!!!!!! When an issue occured she worked to get it resolved even when she could not get in touch immediately with her manager. I've never had a clerk attend to their patrons like she did. This young lady IS AN ASSET to this motel!!! Due to her customer service we will be staying here when...

We could hardly move around in this room!! We were there 5 nights, and no closet just rack with hangers. Didn't get our room cleaned one day, although we were out of room. Never got coffee packs after day of check in. Door to room had 1 inch gap, found 4 bugs in bathroom. The first time we stayed Red...

RedRoofMgmt, General Manager at Red Roof Inn San Diego - Pacific Beach/SeaWorld, responded to this review

Dear Virginia E, I am sorry to hear that your stay with us was not up to your expectations. We offer an open rack with hangers instead of a closed closet, since it would take up valuable space in our guestrooms without performing any additional function. Many travelers like that items can be conveniently stored above our closet rack, or...

We were on a budget and this seemed an okay choice. I was prepared for the simple accommodation and the location not being in the center of the action or the romantic sunset. It's cheap but probably not cheap enough for what was missing. Like, decent behavior from your fellow travelers. At our arrival , on a sunny thursday afternoon,...

I came with low expectations as I've heard bad things about red roof inns in the past and I've worked for Ritz Carlton Hotels for the Last 6 Years. But I've had a great experience here as everyone was accommodating and the room was clean and all staff I have encountered has been helpful and welcoming. I needed towels in...
