Great Service with the hotel! Perfect for the nightlife and an easy distance for me and my friends to get back safely! Very cute girl from ingredients, Alexis was her name? Great customer service! Would defiantly recommend to anyone!

Dear Daniel L, One of the many comments we receive about the hotel is in regards to our perfect location. And they’re right! No matter what your interest, there’s something close by for everyone. Nightlife, shopping, museums, art galleries, and of course the multitude of restaurants. The list just goes on and on. And having the convenience of being walkable...

Very friendly staff, I felt very welcome and appreciated as a guest. Alexis in the ingredients cafe was so delightful and always perked up my morning with a delicious coffee and a friendly smile. I would stay again for the hospitality alone in a heart beat.

The hotel recently went through a substantial renovation and the location is incredible. I travel SD often, so I decided to give it a try. Room - The carpet was covered with stains. The bathroom appeared to be clean, but I noticed stains on the shower curtain when I showered - even a little black mold - it obviously hadn't...

Dear OCBeachDude, Thank you for being a loyal customer. I can see that you have been to the hotel few times based on your comment of “substantial renovation”. Yes, we completed a 25 million dollar transformation in 2012 and the place looks great! I also want to thank you for your detailed feedback and want you to know that I...

The Westin at Gaslamp is perfectly located for both a night on the town in the Gaslamp quarter or a trip to the San Diego Zoo--we opted for both! It's easily walkable to the hotspots in the Gaslamp quarter and is only a $8-10 über to the zoo. The rooms are elegant and the bar at bottom has friendly staff.

My wife and I chose to stay here a part of our anniversary celebration Get-away weekend. We saw a concert, had a nice dinner, and then stashed in this disappointment of a hotel and had our car damaged and our weekend ruined. Not a bad Physical structure, but the staff is apparently less than ethical. First, the Hotel is a...

Dear Thebazers, I am sorry you did not fully enjoy your anniversary celebration. I am a car lover myself and any damage to my car would have ruined my weekend as well. Please understand that we take these matters very seriously and fully investigate all reports of damage. I hope you will reconsider returning to Westin again in the future....

The Westin is a really nice hotel and situated right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. Extremely close to the airport which was great. Very nice and clean rooms! Lobby restaurant and bar are very good. The breakfast buffet is good. They don't advertise it but offer a continental version for a lower price. It was my first time...

Dear Paul L, You’re right! Our location to both the airport (less than 3 miles) and proximity to the Gaslamp Quarter (mere blocks!) puts us right in the middle of just about everything. We’re also just a few miles away from the world famous San Diego Zoo and historical Balboa Park, with museums, artists and so much more to explore....

Pros: Very nice hotel. Amazing location, in the heart off it all. Clean, quite, portable fan in room. Curtains made room dark. Bed incredibly comfortable. Complimentary bottle of water. Cons: No free in-room Internet ($13+/day). Parking is way over priced ($40/day). Must pay to print from "business center." No free breakfast of any sort. Way over priced Misc: Not very...

Great location for downtown SD/Gaslamp. Very friendly front desk agent. I have to give props to the valet & bell hop team. We forgot a bag in the car. We called down for it & you would think it might take 10/15min. It probably took about 4-5, not sure how they got it & made it up to the room...

Of particular significance in our experience, the concierge Marina Serhan was of particular help and went well beyond that which was expected or even anticipated. She is a credit to the Westin brand and a great asset to the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter.
