Was in San Diego for a conference. Put up at the Westin SD Gaslamp Quarter. First off, I must commend the people of SD: fantastic city!! Clean city, nice people, great weather and great range of food. I would have liked to have stayed longer! The only thing that distressed me a little was the number of homeless people on... More

We came for a night more to see the city and its offerings - tourists to the city. The room we found on booking and thought it was a great price for a high end hotel. We didn't find it to be high end. The rooms are okay, the tvs are not HD, the valet parking is $42 or $22... More

Dear WineNerd, I would like to clarify couple of things in the hope that we can welcome you back in the future. All of our televisions are HD LED. Our parking and internet fees are highly competitive within the downtown area and in fact, are less than many other hotels. Are you an SPG member? If so, you can book... More

We stayed here and at the Westin on Broadway and preferred the Broadway location better. The rooms at the Gaslight location are smaller, the lobby is not as nice, and overall, it just falls short. Our upgraded 'bay view' had a slice of the bay, but mostly looked over the roofs of adjoining buildings. The location is nice, but the... More

Nice location and easy to find in the Gaslamp quarter of San Diego. Places to eat and shop are close by which is a plus and service was excellent through out the hotel But not the rest of the story: I was disappointed with the room. The room was dark, boring and dated, which was not what I expected. I... More

Came with my wife and another couple for the first time for Valentine's Day and the hotel is really nice. We got their early before check in and the front desk staff was really nice and got us a room right away. The room was very nice and clean with an amazing comfortable bed king size bed. A welcoming, convenient, and beautiful place. Stopped in SD for 18 hours but it felt like a mini get away. Sarah at the front desk was delightful and knowledgeable on the surrounding areas for a local evening out, the larger coast area, and farther travels. The hotel and gym was was clean, modern, and comfortable for weary travelers or those... More

Excellent. Gracious clear staff, perfectly cleaned and maintained. It is noteworthy that there is a fee for internet, but the fee was waved for me. Spa and exercise options are very good. The free shuttle from the airport is great.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and both a convenient and delightful place to stay when on business in San Diego - ideally placed in an historic quarter of this lovely city. In particular, the concierge (Catherine Bouvier in this case) was exceptionally helpful, understanding and thoroughly effective in organising our surfing trip, armed with only minimal information and limited planning... Arrived and upgraded to 10th floor room (double bed), upon entering room, sun was streaming in and A/C unit not working. Within 15 minutes of calling front desk, MR.
