I have stayed here over the years, and in many Hotels within San Diego, this Westin is the best. The rooms are in good repair, bedding is very clean and fresh, the bed is comfortable. I generally travel by public transportation to keep the expenses down, and the Hotel is located quite close to the Metro 992 bus from the...

Dear Michael M, Thank you for the compliment! We take great pride in the condition and cleanliness of our hotel, and I am glad it shows. Our hotel is ideally located within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, and as you stated, many San Diego attractions can be easily accessed by bus or trolley. Our location is hard to...

First the good: the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the porter staff was friendly, and the location is great. Now the bad: When we arrived, I mentioned we would be leaving at 4:00 am to catch a flight at the airport. The room they selected for us was a few floors above their garden terrace used for...

Dear Travelerplusmom, Comfortable bed, Clean room and friendly staff... Thank you for acknowledging some of the benefits of staying at our hotel. Due to these benefits, we do cater to not only individual travelers but also to corporate groups and social catering functions. I stayed at the hotel during the first week of Nov 2015 while attending a conference at the hotel. The room was spacious and I appreciated the work space in the room. The hotel personnel were friendly and very professional. I can really recommend all 3 people who were at the concierge desk. They went out of their way to...

Dear S1K2, I am happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Our concierge team is quite exceptional, and I will make sure to pass along the compliments. Our location in the center of downtown San Diego is one of the best! Next time you visit, check with our concierge team for recommendations on attractions outside of downtown, such as Torrey...

This is an OK hotel for the **** they have, but nothing special. Normal rates are too high, so if you can't get a "bargain" stay somewhere else. Location is good if you want to be in the Gaslamp quarter of town. I subtract 2 stars from their rating for their credit card handling policy. On arrival they block the...

Dear LukeFields I can certainly understand the frustration you have gone through due to the hold on your credit card. Please let me explain that we do not place holds on credit cards once the full amount is charged upon checkout. All holds are released from our side once you depart. However, depending on a guest's personal bank, their actual...

We really enjoyed our stay here! The pool and hot tub were amazing after a day of walking and seeing the sights. It is in a great location with a bunch of great restaurants nearby.
