I’ve stayed 2 nights for a conference and I am not impressed with the rooms or the conference rooms. My room was in the 9th floor. Coming out of the elevator the place felt gray and sad and the room, while clean, was unimpressive. Average mattresses, average service. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money. Look elsewhere if you want a special stay. What I liked about the Westin was the proximity to many restaurants and bars. You can also walk to the pier.

The Westin hotel is a wonderful place to rest and relax. The hotel offers delicious buffet breakfast and dinner per your order. The fitness center is spacious with a variety of aerobic equipment and free weights. The front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff exceeded my expectations! Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful. This hotel includes a coffee shop with hot & cold drinks and pastries. The hotel location is perfect.

One of the best hotels in the Gaslamp. Close proximity to plenty of restaurants , shopping and entertainment. Everyone went out of their way to provide exceptional service. Riley, at the registration desk was beyond friendly, provided useful information, and helped resolve any small issue we had. This hotel and its staff were great. Highly recommended if in San Diego.

We were on a time crunch when we were checking in. Salvador at the check in desk took the time to find out we were members of the Marriott Bonvoy club and set us up for a late check out as we wouldn't be able to return from our son's graduation ceremony in time to freshen up before our flight in time. He also gave us coupons for free wine or beer in their bar. Additionally we had free tickets for the Hornblower cruises. Unfortunatley because of the tight schedule we were on we were unable to enjoy any of those freebies. The hotel has the friendliest staff I have encountered in all of my years of traveling around the world and I started young at age 9. Starting with the valet parking to the housekeeping staff, the front desk to the grab and go stand for breakfast - every single employee needs to be complimented on their genuine concern for the customer's comfort and relaxation.

My wife and I spent three wonderful days in the Gaslight District of San Diego, CA. This is a lovely part of town with many and I mean many places to eat and drink. The atmosphere is causal and inviting. You can pick a choose what type of food you want from Greek, Mexican, Mediterranean or great steaks. We stayed at the Westin Hotel on the edge of the Gaslight District. Our first time there. Very friendly staff and the breakfast which we partaken in was great. I had a Denver Omelet two of the mornings and was done to perfection. My wife enjoyed their cappuccinos with her breakfasts. The room was large and comfortable. I love the beds for you just sink in and fall right to sleep. One of our reasons to go was to enjoy a ballgame at Petco Field, home of the SD Padres. They were playing the Dodgers, my team. We had good seats and enjoyed the game in 70 degree weather. This was a perfect getaway.
