My family arrived here from Charlotte on Saturday around 2 pm. When we arrived at the desk we were told there were no connecting rooms and that we would have to pay more for a premium room to get a connecting room. This put an immediate damper on our vacation because we had reserved 2 rooms a month ago and requested directly with the hotel and with customer service connecting rooms. Then, Denise came in to save the day! (Not the original desk person we dealt with) She was able to find us the 2 standard connecting rooms we had originally requested and turned our vacation around. Denise also was so sweet to our kids and gave complimentary popsicle passes to the kids. My son can be a wild 4 year old but she made us feel so good and works great with families. I saw her interaction with others and she always went above and beyond. The valet people have been awesome and housekeeping did a great job with our room! I would stay again. Please go see Denise!…
My husband and I celebrated my birthday and stayed overnight at the Westin. I received a very expensive black pearl necklace which I accidentally left behind and realized after we arrived home it was missing. I immediately called the hotel where they took my phone call and information of the missing necklace and THANK GOD, the hotel cleaning staff turned it in to security. thank you thank you thank you for your honesty in returning my birthday gift
Nice updated hotel. Great service and people. Has breakfast spot, very limited and quite greasy. Bar area was nice. Place was very clean overall. Shot out to the main bellman. Always said hi when we left and came back. Something so simple made a huge difference e to us. Good location for restaurants in the gas lamp area.
Stayed at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter during a 3-day conference. Conveniently located, and close to everywhere on my itinerary. Friendly, smiling, helpful staff, notably Denise at the Concierge desk who helped me with a smooth and easy checkout. Excellent amenities onsite. This is my hotel of choice in San Diego.
Krystle and Aria were my bartenders for 7 nights while I was there and made me glad to be alive. Awesome humans. I ❤️ them and they will be in my thoughts and prayers for each of my remaining days. Thank you ladies for a great life experience. If you need a great life pick me up, stop by and see them sometime. But don't root for the Packers
One of the best hotels for Marriot Elite members. We got treated with such a high level of appreciation and generosity which transported us back to the good old days of Marriott and SPG. Every single staff, from reception, to concierge, to coffee shop, to their bar ana breakfast area, was incredibly nice and very well trained. I recall Therese, Jonatho, Julienne, Jason, Michael.... 5 stars service and interactions. We had an issue with the bathroom on our first night and when brought up the team swiftly took care of it and offered us another room (upgrade). It was seemless and very generous. It made my wife and kids very happy. Our titanium membership gave us free drink daily, $8 of food, free breakfast, and some coupons for kayak, bikes, and harbor tour. Incredible value for the destination fee you pay. We would come back in a heartbeat. Great job for the management team at the Westin Gaslamp…
Denise is the BEST EVER SHE IS EVERYTHING!!!! She is so accommodating and was able To help us with our reservation. She is super kind and a great asset to The Westin. She was such a treat and assisting.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego. It was an AMAZING stay. Jason assisted with the check in. He was kind and helpful. Terese at the front desk was knowledgeable and so friendly. She is a true professional. Mya is also an outstanding employee. She went above and beyond for my 65th birthday. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel’s location is perfect. We walked along the pier and had dinner in Little Italy. We took the bus from the airport and the drop off is less than one block away. This is my new go to hotel in San Diego
Great location, very clean, reasonable prices, and super comfy beds. Really appreciate the flexibility when picking rooms so our party all had rooms near each other. Check in with Denise was amazing, she should be running the place!
We had an exceptional stay at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. The staff - shoutout to Joseph and Aria at the Bronze Bird - made us feel like VIPs during our stay. We also had some of the best bites of our trip at the hotel. The eggs benedict and spicy chicken sandwich made our shortlist. The destination amenity fee is a great value too. It comes with paddle board and bike rentals, a boat cruise, a daily glass of beer or wine, among other things.
