We stayed for three nights as we were in town for baseball games. Location is fantastic - easy access to San Diego Trolley and transport to downtown. Saves driving and paying parking fees. Easy route back to hotel. When you are back you are right in Old Town. The entire staff is friendly and courteous and attentive to every need.... More

I booked the hotel for one night and asked for a late check-in: they were very kind to accommodate it. Unfortunately my flight was delayed to the next day due to bad weather in NY so I had to sleep near to the airport JFK. The hotel consierge was very kind and called the Cosmopolitan Hotel to explain the problem... More

Very good staff. Friendly a accommodating. Food was terrible. My son and I had the ribeye. VERY FATTY and thin. Actually had to spit out a piece into my napkin. Wife had a chicken dish which I tasted. It consisted of a chicken thigh on top of a bed of something…just nasty.

Disconnect. A real key to your room. Hostess taking you to your room and showing you around. Living in history. This was a great choice and one we shall do again. The staff was the best we have ever had. I wish I could really describe everything about this hotel. In short, we loved it!

My wife and I were in the downtown area on a Saturday night tor a concert and we decided to stay in Old Town at The Cosmopolitan Hotel. The building dates back to the 1820's and it has been remodeled several times. There are 10 rooms on the second floor above the bar and restaurant. Our room #6 was very... More

For people who like charming and authentically restored historic hotels, I'd highly recommend the Cosmopolitan. We arrived late and were personally greeted by Stephanie who was not only welcoming, but helpful. Our room was decorated with antiques but had modern amenities including a comfortable bed and A/C. Breakfast is provided and included homemade scones (yummy), good coffee, fresh fruit and... More

Me and my friend stayed here for Comicon. We had Room #10, within the first 5 minutes of arriving and settling in we were trying to decide what we wanted to order from the downstairs restaurant when all of a sudden "something or someone" violently slammed the shade in the window open. The window shade went up so high that... More

Some rooms have very cool vintage looking wooden tubs . Great hotel for a romantic get away . Fair warning the 2 rooms I have stayed... More

If you're looking for something unique for your next trip to San Diego, I recommend a stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Located in Old Town State Park the Cosmopolitan is a 10 room hotel decorated with antique furniture to reflect early 20th century luxury. Spoiler Alert! No TVs or telephones in the rooms, but they do have free WiFi. The... More
