Ok, I'm seriously about to leave and it's 3:00am. I have tried to sleep....for several hours now. THIS PLACE IS JUST LOUD! There is a musty aroma as soon as you walk in. First of all, I will give a slight plus. The front desk lady was nice and for the most part, everything was clean, most importantly the sheets. There was a hair in the tub, and as gross as that is, I let it slide and let the water run it down the drain before hopping in. Although the bedding appeared and smelled clean but is not comfortable at all. Thank goodness the fridge works. The parking lot is no fun! It's one way, cars are parked close together and it's so narrow, it's very hard to get out of. I was scared to hit surrounding cars. If the lot is filled, parking is not easy to find, and it's not the safest area to be walking alone at night. Now let's get to the noise and the reason I may just leave in the middle of the night... I can hear EVERYTHING! The walls are paper thin. I can here when the guy in the next room goes into the bathroom, I can hear him talking on the phone word for word and now, I can hear him snoring!!! LOUDLY!!! When people walk up the hallway, it shakes the room. I asked if I could switch rooms.. There are none... Don't think it would matter much anyway. You can also hear everything outside. The freeway almost goes over the hotel.. Literally right next too the hotel so it's just very loud. I've tried using a white noise app, but this guy's snoring is intense.…
Don't stay here. My room smelled like piss, it's not clean, parking lot is small, and the homeless literally check the doors to see if they're open because some of the rooms are outside the hotel. Friends said they had hair in their bed and bathtub
Amicable front desk clerk. The young lady was very considerate of a hiccup during a third-party reservation site, and very politely informed us of a solution with which we were able to check in under 10 minutes. Corner store less the 600ft away.
Wanted to be in Little Italy for a nice dinner and evening.Very scary place to stay. Homeless living all around the hotel, hard to check in through peep hole and much damage to sink and furniture. Hard to sleep as it is a very Police active area. Never again.
Just needing an OVERNIGHT for a flight the next day,and this really worked! Nothing fancy but rooms look exactly as depicted:a plus! WALKING distances to alot of good eats, and having the 7-11 right next door, was NICE actually. This is simple clean and modest and not killing your budget! Bed was super firm, loved it~~~! VERY GOOD = PRICE + CLEANLINESS + LOCATION It looks like it could be a good location to explore downtown SAN DIEGO, MRT is just 3 blks away~~
I stayed here for one a one-night layover between flights. Great price for the location and the room was basic, but met my needs very well and exceeded my expectations for a budget hotel. Pros: close to the airport; basically clean; 24-hour check-in; price; had refrigerator, microwave, and (limited) free parking. Cons: the 24 hour check-in was closed when I wanted to check out at about 4:30am. Rang the bell for service and there was no response. I was left standing on the dark street waiting for my Uber. Also the hotel is an older building an you can hear everything in the hall; parking area; and other rooms.
POSITIVES: It is as clean, neat and upgraded as it looks in the pictures! I really liked it. Just a block from restaurant row in Little Italy, 1/2 a block to get on the 5 Freeway, great room layout... drawer space, counter space, great selection of TV channels and free movie channels, great price, even booking at the last minute, free small refrigerator & microwave, free coffee in the lobby, staff was very helpful... (the 2 young girls I came in contact with did not smile and were not exactly visually friendly, (maybe just a millennial thing?) but they were VERY helpful. The guy, during the day, maybe a manager, was EXTREMELY friendly and provided excellent customer service... and a $7.50 Lyft ride to convention center or 30 minute walk... I did both. NEGATIVES: They had the main door to enter the hotel, right on the street, propped open, even a late as 10:15pm, when I checked in. If you get a room facing the street, it will be noisy... but I turned the wall AC/Heat unit on the FAN setting and it worked as white noise, so I didn't hear a thing. There is free parking, but the lot is VERY small. I was lucky enough to snag a spot:-)…
Was in San Diego for a kids' sporting tournament and ended up needing more nights than planned. City was completely booked - very hard to find a hotel. I found an offer on Orbitz for the Harborview Inn. $500 (not joking) for one night, 2 queen beds, non refundable. Wasn't anything else for 40+ miles so I took it on the mobile app. We arrived late to the hotel - probably 10pm...were told by the front desk that were no two queen rooms left (even though that's specifically what we purchased). Guessing they gave our room away... Since there were four of us, the room they did have did us absolutely no good. They apologized, said they'd refund us. We then had to drive 50+ miles north to a different place. Fast forward one month - my card has NOT been refunded. I requested a refund from Orbitz (which was denied because the hotel claimed they had the correct room). Same result with Paypal. My calls to the hotel have been met with "I will have to have a Manager call you" (and no call...of course)...So...I'm apparently out $500....all because I trusted they actually had what they advertised...…
The room was very nice. AC worked great. No coffee maker but they had coffee downstairs. If your coming for business or pleasure it is centrally located to everything San Diego has to offer. Front desk employee was very nice.
The price was reasonable for the location of the hotel. It's not far from many of the major tourist attractions in San Diego (zoo, Balboa Park, USS Midway Museuem, Petco Park, Gaslight District) You can even walk to the zoo or the Midway if you don't mind walking 20-30 minutes. It was also nice having a small fridge and microwave in the room. However, there is not much else. Rooms are kinda small and out of date. The countertop for the sink in my room was chipped. The towels are not at all soft. The tv was old and the remote barely worked. And it is located on a busy intersection so it can get kinda noisy when you're trying to sleep. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you are traveling on a budget and don't want to be too far from major points of interest, then this is a good place to stay. If you want a nicer hotel with more amenities, then stay somewhere else.…
