We stayed one night at La Pensione which is right in the heart of Little Italy, SD. It was a very comfortable stay and had all we needed for the night with very comfortable beds. Has a few great cafes surrounding it also, and about 5 min drive to the Gaslamp Quarter.

My girlfriend and I stayed here back in April. We enjoyed it very much as it was in a great location, had easy access to the trolley, and was well within walking distance of many great bars, restaurants and shops. The room was not huge, but it was comfortable and clean. They offered a coupon each day for a coffee...

Outer appearances seem decent, but La Pensione is really a motel in a hotel's clothing. Check in staff was deplorable and communicated in an unprofessional tone that gave the impression he hated his job. We requested a crib. We were told that they don't have cribs! he told us that, "because it is a boutique hotel, there are very limited...

A short walk, approximately four blocks from the station and you'll find a well run hotel in "little Italy". Rooms here are on the small side but they have been well designed and provide everything you'll need. The staff are very helpful providing good advice about trips and restaurants etc. A morning coffee and pastry are included in your tariff...

The service was excellent, the rooms on the small size, no ironing board or safe deposit box. The Wifi worked well, you received an coupon for a free cup of coffee and a pastry at the attached carryout. All in all about average for the money you paid.

The hotel is in a nice location in the heart of the Little Italy area of the city. It is a small budget range hotel but proved to be quite adequate for our short stay in San Diego although for a longer visit we would probably look for a bigger hotel. The area around the hotel is pleasant enough and...

I've sent them a couple of mails before booking a double bedroom next August. I just wanted to know if they had a private parking. What shoulda i say? well.... it's very bad that an hotel does not reply to a customer's email, isn 't it.

I was there for a mini-vacation with my best friend, from Saturday - Wednesday The hotel is located in the heart of Little Italy, and it is a fantastic location! The room was small but comfortable, aside from the ductless heat pump that sounded like crickets chirping all night long. The TV is mounted to the wall above the desk,...

Just a few blocks from the Green line and Bus 992 from the airport stops about 5 blocks away, this Little Italy gem is perfectly located. If you are at a convention, it's about a 25 minute walk. Safe. Really clean. Rooms are small, but wifi is free. Now for the howevers: First, you will need to figure out how...

We stayed here for 4 nights on our drive through California. We fell in love with San Diego and this hotel was perfectly located to see everything the city has to offer. It is in the heart of Little Italy but we didn't hear any noise from the many restaurants etc. from our room. Decor is clean and modern, our...
